  1. Everyone is a shell of what they will be in January. But when you only play 16 games getting cheap ones early is just extremely helpful.
  2. I don't think this would really happen though. It's likely one finishes hot, maybe two, or two finish poorly...but I think it's unlikely they all float around a .500 finish, and in the specific order you mention. Because that's what it would take. Say the Cubs are the team that goes 5-8, 7-6 would do it. It's a big mess to pick apart now, but I just don't see that scenario being very likely. I like where the Brewers are. I would bet on them to make it.
  3. I don't even notice the net and feel much safer when behind it vs. right outside its reach.
  4. IMO the Brewers could cool off a bit and still likely get in. With all those teams playing each other it seems highly unlikely to me that one doesn't fall hard. Now the Brewers aren't quite good enough to be confident they won't finish 3-9 or something. I personally think 7-6 would do it
  5. Washington isn't even safe. And they play STL now. The Brewers are really in a terrific spot right now if they can do what they haven't done basically all year, beat up a bunch of awful teams.
  6. Boring game, really laborious to watch. Felt six hours long. Defense held in the end but a bit sloppy on several big plays. Offense is a concern. Jones was quite productive against a very good front. I don't know if they need a vet WR or just some time.
  7. You hate to call that a season saver with 13 (? I think) left, but that just possibly made up a game in the WC standings. With the Cubs forced to play the Cards seven times yet, I'm cautiously optimistic to say we have the pole position for that last wild card right now. Absolutely huge hit. What a player he has been.
  8. Wonderful to see the Pirates just laying down. I hope they do the same for us.
  9. Not only did they not fold, but the defense had to shut the door twice inside 2 minutes and did it. Awesome sign.
  10. Fitting end. Awesome job by the defense.
  11. They hang on to this Scott should get a game ball.
  12. Eeesh. I liked the 2nd down pass decision but not that one. They were playing the quick hit. That was perfect play action territory. Then once you don't get it I would've just thrown again on 3rd.
  13. I'm throwing on 2nd down here. Play action and toss one up.
  14. Nope. Packers need a first down and most of all not a turnover.
  15. OPI on Tramon Williams and still a pick.
  16. I do wonder if they'll consider going for 2 with their K woes and being opening night and all.
  17. Anyone else just know this game would end this way?
  18. Eh...there hasn't been much room at all. I'll give them a little bit to figure it out. The lack of game action is probably worse for them than anyone else.
  19. FG is right call there. I'd kick it on 4th and a millimeter the way the defense has played. If they blow it now, still the right call.
  20. Big 3 points. Let's not make it interesting, defense.
