  1. Flag or not 12 has to get rid of that. Absolutely cannot take a sack there.
  2. Yeah, the boos surprised me. Harsh. Bears fans honestly think Trubisky is going to be their version of Rodgers. They will blame the coaching staff before they turn on Trubisky. He's not through the honeymoon period yet. But he sucks. One was going viral this week for maintaining he still would take him ahead of Mahomes.
  3. Pretty much nobody thought Jones would do anything tonight. He's provided a change of pace a couple times when needed, and they're respecting PA a bit now. 3 would be huge here.
  4. If the Packers don't create some separation soon this really has the feel of one where the Bears score at the very end and we have 80 seconds to win it with no timeouts.
  5. Idk. I thought that penalty was pretty ticky tack. The collision started in bounds and they dramatically rolled for a bit. He didn't need to hit him that hard, but I've seen far worse, and worse uncalled. Like the hit on Rodgers.
  6. Can we stop the cooky camera angles? What the hell are they doing?
  7. No way this is being overturned. Love tap. Stupid challenge. Yikes.
  8. Would be nice to see the defense slam this shut with a pick or fumble TD...something big. They deserve it.
  9. Ugly game, lol. Yikes. Both of these coaches will be grumpy.
  10. Not a big fan of tosses on a D that moves this well.
  11. I'd like to see them push Jones again here. You're closer to the middle of the field now and give it another shot.
  12. Aaron Jones has five carries, that's a problem. He wasn't getting anywhere, but five carries isn't much to work with. At this point they don't even have to worry it at all and are sitting back letting Rodgers play the chuck-it game.
  13. Rather he eat it because a stupid INT could very well lose this game. 7 points might lose it too but I'd rather take that chance.
  14. It's Week 1. Remember when the Packers fluffy defense dominated the defending NFC Champion Panthers in Week 1 with Blitzin' Bob Slowik calling the shots? They then went 1-4 and finished 10-6 before getting embarrassed by Minnesota in the Wild Card at home. That crazy blitzin' D finished in the bottom 1/3 of the league. The Panthers went 7-9.
  15. Give them some credit. This Bears defense was literally the best one in the NFL and they think it's better. This isn't the Lions. It's the big boys on the road. They need to score again but this is pretty much exactly the game I expected.
  16. That shouldn't surprise him or anyone. The preseason is useless but they could've at least gotten a pace down.
  17. Bears not exactly a powerhouse offense but there is at least reason to be optimistic about the Packers D for once. Decisive and fast in the secondary and getting adequate pressure often with just a base rush. When is the last time the latter was true? Parts of 2014 maybe with Peppers? I hope this isn't a mirage because the defense might actually be fun to watch for a change.
  18. That name still doesn't sound familar. I'll take your word for it, I just remember cutting Ryan. Ryan had a really up and down year the previous year, but that year took off with Seattle and as you said, was a fixture the next 10 years. And Ryan was physical. Frost was so bad he didn't make it through the year. They cut him in December and used Kapinos the rest of that season. It was 2008, Rodgers' first year as a starter.
  19. The garbage punter you're thinking about is probably Derrick Frost. We got rid of a very good Jon Ryan for him. Ryan went on to play a decade in Seattle while we moved on from Frost after one year. It was a bizarre move, even at the time. The ST coach at the time had some kind of fixation on Frost and wanted him the second he was available.
  20. Is this a controversial point? He was outstanding all pre-season, regularly booming kicks with 5+ hang time. He was good last year, he's better this year. Definitely worth a 5th round pick to get a guy who can flip the field. No but he's a punter.
  21. Agree on the TD...saw it live and looked like a heave into traffic but the other DB had looked off the play and he threw Jimmy a jump ball. I'll take that chance every time. That's why we signed him.
  22. It's a tough D, at least that line works now. And week 1. If we're doing this against the Washingtons and the Detroits of the league in week 9 I'll have a problem. Expected him to struggle tonight but they will need something out of Aaron Jones this year to stop this crap.
  23. JK Scott is a weapon. Yeah I said it.
  24. He should have been fired after 2012.
  25. I need a replay on that but that but it sure looked like a risky throw. Edit: NVM, wasn't too bad.
