  1. I'm content with losing this game in 9. We really don't need to go 12 innings at this point. And it feels like we have to win in 9 if we're going to win.
  2. Did it a bunch last year. He has only done it a couple times this season for another our or two but I don't think ever went 2IP.
  3. Priester gives up one run because Turang air mails one, he is at like 82 pitches or something and we have to go to the pen with a short list of relievers available?
  4. I personally think they chose to ship Clark out because they believe they found a gem in Stackhouse. I am not worried about the run. Can't lock in on any one of Cooper, Parsons or Gary. Those DTs will have a lot of liberty.
  5. The Cubs would need a 20-7 finish with the Brewers playing .500 ball the rest of the way.
  6. If we had gone with the schlubs and coughed up another 7 run lead this place would be burning down. It's fine. They're big boys. They will be ok.
  7. Just not getting swept here is a delight. At worst you're going home up 4.5. I'll be happy with 5.5. Time is a factor now and just holding ground is a win.
  8. With the trading post shut down a while ago I never see bobbleheads come up for discussion around here anymore. But this is crazy: https://ebay.us/m/Cb4Apz
  9. Well for one, it was a joke, but a hitting .191 as a pitcher when you never get regular ABs is pretty respectable. Siegler is barely treading above that .484 though.
  10. Interesting Toronto tidbit. There is a Marriott where you can get a room with a view of the field. Pricy gimmick, but still kinda cool. You can see the whole day's activities; field maintenance, clean up, etc., from your room https://youtu.be/1VQiWOSiHqc?si=ej9gvqUcF6pdWIFP
  11. The Blue Jays just feel innocuous and I too have a soft spot for them. I don't really believe in second-favorite teams, just non-Brewer teams that don't agitate me. Expos were one as well. Other candidates are the Guardians, oddly the White Sox because they hate the Cubs, Orioles, Mariners, probably a couple others.
  12. I think Parsons is somewhere between our signing of Peppers and our signing of White. Both exceeded expectations and had the desired impact.
  13. I think the narrative that Dallas got hosed is nonsense. It's just a pile-on campaign against Jerry. Did anyone believe Dallas was close to a championship? I did not. They have some talent for sure, but I'm just not buying them. I think Jerry felt the same. They are a decent team now armed with 4 1st round picks (for now) and contrary to popular opinion, Jones has actually drafted quite well, particularly with early picks. The Packers, meanwhile, need a star. I complained about this last year. Who is the Woodson, who is the White, who is even the Matthews on this defense? You were looking at McKinney and Gary. Good players, McKinney may be the best at his position, but he plays a peripheral position. Parsons is the talent they were missing. The trade makes sense for both teams IMO. And I don't think GB is looking for Parsons to be a big run stuffer. They got him to alleviate Gary's life and get QB pressure with 4 guys. We haven't had that in years.
  14. I don't think I could ever bet on the Cowboys.
