No, I'm with you. I literally felt more confident immediately after how clean those chip shots were. Anders was a crapshoot no matter what the distance.

The Brewers are arguably one of the best-run franchises in American sports over the last decade all things considered, so I won't log this as a complaint, but my gut feeling on this team is that it just isn't ever going to be good enough to really beat a couple a top dogs into October. They always win but when they have to go toe-to-toe with the elite it just seems like they can't quite get over the hump.

Won't say it wasn't close but I don't get why replay exists if that stands. When you slow it down it seemed pretty clear he got back.

We are who I think we are. A top 6-10 team, not a top 5 team. Baseball being what it is, you can sometimes win it being #8 though.

Counsell's entire "raising the bar" schtick was hilarious and stupid to begin with. There was a rare opportunity to cash out big time and he got it. Not many ballplayers can continue being paid like one into their 50s. That's what this was about. He doesn't give a mouse fart about getting some other manager a raise. -
I would agree, but that was never my argument though it was someone else's. I think it is definitely the case though that the playoffs used to be all but a waste of time to watch. You pretty much knew the CF would be 1 vs 2 or 3. It's not quite like that anymore. The last few teams in are usually not very good, but I don't think teams obsess over HC like it felt like they used to.
