  1. Rowdy hitting sandwich between a toasted Hader trade bread with a side of Wiemer/Adames chips. Delicious!
  2. South metro Twin Cities. I was just in Chetek, WI and they had them in droves. Perhaps they are slow in coming, but I know both are helping. I started Milky spore in 2021 (it takes a year to effect as it kills the grubs). Last July, they came out strong, but reduced. Then in Aug sometime I started using Neem oil. They would land on the plant but not eat it. In years past, they were so bad, they bronzed one of my apple trees. I started using traps (yes, they might attract from neighbors, but it was so bad, I had to) and I would replace the bag weekly in two traps. Last year, I only had one bag per trap for the whole season. This year, no traps and only spraying neem oil weekly with the milky spore doing its thing from a couple years ago. The contrast is very stark. And both solutions are natural solutions, so I appreciate not having chemical pesticides on my fruit trees.
  3. I see one or two June bugs every year at my house. But until this year, we had thousands of Japanese beetles. Pretty, but terrible on my fruit trees. Milky spore in the ground and cold pressed neem oil on the trees was the solution. I started that late last year and it really knocked them back (but they did a lot of damage before I figured it out). Now, I've seen maybe a dozen this year with very minimal leaf damage. Now for the box elder bugs.
  4. I'd love to live in Bozemon, MT or Coeur d'Alene, ID or anywhere between. Beautiful country. My grandparents moved to Port Hill, ID when I was young and we visited several times. Glacier > Yellowstone.
  5. Well, last year did no favors to Crowder... bad attitude with Phoenix led him to not playing for half the year. Then a forced trade and poor performance post-trade... He probably could've gotten more than the minimum somewhere, but this is probably the type if deal he needs to take to stay with a contender. And he said he wants to play with the Bucks, right?
  6. Sure, he can pitch... but can he play shortstop?
  7. Do remember that the biggest jump is still to come for all of these players - the one to the MLB level. Top 100 ratings are great but the failure rate is also pretty high for the top 100, too. I'll worry about Quero/Contreras or even Chorio+Wiemer/Yelly/Mitchell/Frelick when they start producing at the MLB level. Having "too much talent" at one position is never a problem. It is a blessing. Between injuries, failing to live up to rankings, trades... much can happen between then and now.
  8. Aargh.... Burnes' blow up Inning, Peralta's control, and Woody's health... its like all three of their major weaknesses all strike at the same time.
  9. Agreed. As it was said earlier - its a low bar. At least we stopped batting Winkler at #2 or #3... maybe he snaps out of it, but you can't keep sinking our offense waiting for it also.
  10. To show it mathematically (thus, I MUST be right!): Hauser @SP > Rea @SP but Hauser @RP + Rea @SP > Hauser @SP + Rea @RP The real question is when does Woody come back???
  11. Wouldn't it be better to watch Mr. Roger's Neighborhood then? He actually gives good advice. 😂
  12. Hunk-a, hunk-a burning save! Nice job Peguero!
  13. Devon Williams is now our best hope to get a man on second base...
  14. a 4 pitch walk... I assumed they figured he was easier to get out on the bases than let him hit!
  15. It still is odd to see how Julio and Miley can pitch so well and see Burnes and Freddy struggle. Missing Woody also.
  16. During one of his games, the announcers were talking about how people started keying off his pitch location also. Swinging at the high FBs and letting the low pitches go. If he can't get strikes on his low pitches, he struggles getting hit with his high stuff.
  17. Or a starter on Dick Bennett's WI team... This kind of tells me two things: 1) He gets hyped for his BB IQ, so I take that as REALLY high IQ. 2) Second round picks are such low value, they are given away for $$. You have to take risks to find gold.
  18. Regarding Khris and the cap... as I read it, declining the option was the only way we could reduce his cap number. He can now sign for less/year (longer years). Thought I read someone speculating on Brooks and Mids coming back at lower numbers so the Bucks could get the mid-level exception back... but I don't remember seeing the numbers added up, so don't quote me on that.
  19. Well, shooting is a major flaw in playing BBall. 😂 I was scratching my head last night; kind of hoping for a EU high-upside type that would sit in Europe for a year or two. But both the guys we got were interesting physical specimens. Between them and Beauchamp, hopefully one learns to shoot. We certainly do have "a type" in drafting tendencies. I did love that we could grab our 2nd rounder from 7 years in the future, throw in some cash and suddenly we have a high second rounder. People really don't value them much.
  20. Hire Louis Ely and your Woah are solvvd!
  21. I've known this guy for years... on an internet chat board... but he has great NFL draft write-ups! 😂 @LouisEly I do hope the job search is going well.
  22. I tend to agree with nate82. Would Oakland not move if they were getting TV revenue sharing? Wouldn't they get the same in LV? Moves will still be about facilities and attendance.
  23. I seem to remember Myers being projected in the 3rd round, maybe 4th. Not 6th. Being picked at the end of the 2nd wasn't much of a reach. Picking Myers over Humphrey hurts of course... And I agree that moving laterally seems to be a bit of a weakness for him. Moving vertically (i.e. second level and going up field at guys) seems to be a strength for him. He'll be slow, especially on that first step to get someone on a reach block, but once he gets going, he moves well.
