  1. Well, personally, as an owner I'd like to refute... nevermind. Not even close.
  2. When I work in the office (which I'm not..) I have a specific sequence for wearing my pants. From that, I pick a matching shirt and go. Normally doesn't take much time (if I'm awake...).
  3. His attitude about the draft still bugs me. If his last name wasn't Manning with his father and brother paving the way, he'd been in SD. He was a good QB, but I wouldn't say they won games often because of him. IMO, if Rivers played for the Giants instead, the result would've been about the same.
  4. I'd still take him over Manning the Lesser. Joe Montana did too. Seeing Joe in KC red was the weirdest thing I've seen in my life until it was Favre in purple. Technically Brees, but that was before he really played at a HOF level.
  5. His 2019 numbers do show a lot of luck involved (i.e. high BABIP), but part of that was being able center on so many balls. I expected him to regress some, but going to the point of unable to touch a ball with the bat is a stunning turnaround. I wonder if he has any vision issues that are being ignored?
  6. He's a parody account. Not to be taken seriously. Well, I take it seriously. Very seriously... #RyanBraunForever [sarcasm]Are you Ryan's Dad?... [/sarcasm]
  7. Garcia will get a long leash because of the money he is being paid. But it isn't like there is a lot of upside there either. He is a career 269/323/419/743, 102 OPS+ hitter. Pretty much average and at age 30, that isn't going to get better. Taylor at least has some upside possibility while providing about the same floor (Avi's OPS+ for last year and this year are both 78).
  8. Few teams have ever had two HOF QBs and having them back-to-back is rather unique. But someone else mentioned that it isn't unusual to have a HOF QB not finish with their original team anymore... Favre, Brady, Manning (the good one)... etc. Seems like those end of career years are hard to navigate - probably a bit of advanced mid-life crisis (given the shortness of a football career).
  9. At this point (if the Kumerow thing has an ounce of truth), Rodgers and Favre really need to get together. The parallels of the situations is just really ironic. Favre was pretty open about how he went from playing football with all his buddies to being the old man in the locker-room and feeling disconnected from most of his team. All of his close friends were gone at the end. I'd guess this is more why losing Kumerow was a blow to Rodgers than his actual WR skillset. Maybe we can hire Jake as assistant to the regional manager in charge of QB communications.
  10. Both Gute and MLF have publicly admitted there is a riff. But how much of a riff and to what purpose is still up in the air. I'll still hold to this being 90% media and 10% reality. In 1-2 months, there will be a sit-down interview with Rodgers where more will come out. And it most likely will be about contracts and contract negotiations... Welcome to the Art of War.
  11. Correct. But I have it on good authority, though, that he was at his place in the Northwoods when he officially decided to hang it up, and when the Brewers called him to say they wanted to add him to the roster. In fact, he was actually on his boat fishing Wednesday evening when the Brewers called him. When does fishing season open???
  12. You have deviated 1.78 CM from the basepath... http://www.chicagonow.com/cubs-den/files/2015/07/Robo-Ump.jpg
  13. I was just looking into that this yesterday, but I'm not close enough to the 5G towers to be able to use it. Ironically, my local township just paid for the infrastructure to add a little satellite dish-looking device on your house and get internet access (http://www.netwavebroadband.net/), but I'm guessing it will be overcome by 5G shortly...
  14. craig counsell thinks that yardley will just have to serve the minimum 10 days. Sounds like a prison sentance... [sarcasm]Maybe he will get released early for good behavior?[/sarcasm]
  15. JZ couldn't get people out in ST either. His FB speed had dropped dramatically over the last few years from his last point of success (they correlate nicely) and nothing has improved there. Retire in style fellow cheesehead.
  16. I'm still surprised he stayed in that game to run. I know we were short on players, but wow...
  17. Feliciano is at the alternate site, that would probably be why he isn’t on the AAA roster. Same reason Corey Ray isn’t listed etc. Does this mean the alternate site is basically going to be another minor league and everyone else moves up a step?
  18. Agreed. If even 10% of what is being reported is true, a lot of people just start seeing him as a primadonna at this point. I'm not sure how an individual can be so deluded as to begrudge his team for having a backup plan - for injury or retirement. Most of the fans in Green Bay are Packer fans and not "Rodgers" fans. In 10 years the Packers will still be playing and Rodgers won't. [sarcasm]The similarity here between Favre and Rodgers is so ironic, it MUST mean Love is going to be our 3rd HOF QB in a row, right?[/sarcasm]
  19. I grade this comment a C. But in a few years, there will be A drafts and F drafts... so you're probably more accurate than anyone else giving out the As and Bs.
  20. Yes, grades are silly. I like to read their analysis and how they think a player fits a team. But seems like only a few writers will do this well anymore.
  21. Agreed. Let's turn the conversation away from "to vaccinate" or "to not vaccinate" Thank you.
  22. Basically, that only legit information being reported is what Gute confirmed recently. We really don't know what is legit from Rodgers and what is media overhype. I'm going to guess 10% gripe and 90% media sensationalism.
