Moore would give them a different look than what they have now and different skillset, but I think Bateman looks more like a #1 WR and he has the route-running skills that normally get himself open. I didn't see many mocks that had him get to the Packers (though I didn't see tons of them). Seems like only lately he was falling to the Packers range.

Viking friends of mine (yeah, I run in tough circles...) were certain they were going to trade up and get a new QB. One falls in their lap and they trade back... They won't be happy.

Nope. I said they would not have had as good of careers as they had. It is hard to compare players head to head. Yes, their careers overlapped, but situations are different. You said you didn't think Rodgers would have played well in Favre's era. If you said you don't think he'd put up the same type of numbers he has or that he may have gotten more injured, that I'd agree with...but I see no reason he wouldn't have been the best QB of that era as well. My apologies for omitting the word "as". He wouldn't play as well. That is why I clarified it in follow-up post.

Nice to see a bit more MPH out of Lauer out there, that was unexpected. Hopefully he turns the corner and be a decent fill-in starter.
