  1. He reminds me (looks and talk) of a young Ditka.
  2. I was a Gary fan to begin with, but things like this make me like him more.
  3. I still want to see State Farm Bowl or Super Bowl I redux.
  4. I’m sort of fascinated to see how much he plays and how big of an impact he ends up being for the Bucs. I'm fascinated by his full name: Tevita Tuli’aki’ono Tuipulotu Mosese Va’hae Fehoko Faletau Vea Imagine being him being a kid, getting in trouble, and having your parents yell out your whole name.
  5. Yeah, I love doing this. And doubling the mozzarella to boot. But I don't do it that often as my wife normally has them cooking when I get off work (and she hates mushrooms, so she doesn't do it).
  6. I would possibly disagree to say that Charles Woodson was his best move, ironically not a draft pick either. Rodgers was certainly a home run, but he was also in the debate for being 1st overall. The longer he fell, someone was going to snag him. A lot of people thought he was good, it was just a perfect storm for GB of not many teams needing QBs and being down on Rodgers at the last minute. I remember at the time, someone calling that if SF didn't pick him, he would fall to GB. Woodson was very much seen as cantankerous and over-the-hill, but the Packers gave him a lot of money and he was absolutely insane for them. I've still never seen a defensive player, in the secondary no less, with such an ability to change a game. He was just a turnover machine. Woodson was huge obviously, but this is a QB led league and Rodger's impact has been for much longer.
  7. right... I forgot about that.
  8. I'm sure a lot of fans will root against Brady...I'm just not sure how many will tune in to root against him. Yes, Brady in TB adds a unique twist. But Brady has won and lost a lot of SBs and people are just tired of seeing him there. Good thing it doesn't matter because the game isn't fixed by the NFL anyway.
  9. Drafting Rodgers was his greatest move as GM and set us up for success for a long time. I wonder how the team might honor him this week and/or in the future. Packer HOF should be a lock.
  10. Not sure who we would cut, but I wouldn't mind just having him along for the ride - even if he stood on the sideline and helped "coach" the guys a bit.
  11. So win or lose, does Brady return next year?
  12. For taco pizza yes. Not other pizza. I eat plenty of spicy foods, but I like pizza the way it is. But I've heard people like Siracha on pizza too. Eating the spiciest food doesn't show manlyness...it shows a persons stupidity. Your tolerance for spicy foods is a function of how often you eat it. I have friends from India and Thailand that would kill you with what they eat.
  13. It is a catch-22. When the federal government makes all the decisions, they can't tailor the needs of each individual state that vary greatly. People would complain that the decision doesn't meet their needs. If they hand down the power to states and they aren't competent or ready to take it, people complain. Hopefully, we won't get enough "practice" to be good at this.
  14. Drew Brees' career is interesting to me. Drafted in 2001 with LaDainian Tomlinson - Chargers drafted two HOF players and didn't win anything with them. He ends up replacing Doug Flutie (another smaller QB - though 2" shorter) to whom he was compared. He then endures the drama of the 2004 draft between drafting Eli Manning (1st overall) and trading for Phillip Rivers (FYI, Larry Fitzgerald was drafted 3rd - Imagine Brees, LDT, and Fitzgerald all together). Brees did have some early injury issues, but still put up good numbers when healthy. He leaves SD in free agency and signs with NO for a "prove-it" level contract and the rest is history. I always like the Chargers as my AFC team (even going back to Dan Fouts), but they are as ineptly run team as any in the NFL. For Brees, I only have respect for the guy. A bit of an underdog coming out of college and coming from the Big10. There is much I didn't like NO, but Brees always seemed to be a good guy and great QB.
  15. I think Brady will hold up in the cold better than Drew Brees. Bigger QB, bigger hands, more used to playing in cold conditions. But overall, I think the game is going to be similar to playing the Rams -> big defense, averagish offense. The Bucs are better up the middle (LBs) than the Rams, but worse DBs. Defensively, we are very different than we were in the 5th game of the season. Our LB and DL are playing MUCH better. Keke (if he is healthy) and Clark really stepped it up in the last 6 weeks. Lowry's improvement mirrors those around him. Lancaster has been adequate and Snacks brings improved depth. Barnes has really grown and matured in the middle. He and Kirksey are starting to look much better together. Overall, the defense has gelled very nicely this year. If we can top 25 points and not turn the ball over, we should win. If we are able to eliminate the pass rush (like they did against the Rams), I think we will beat them by 2+ scores.
  16. Doesn't matter if fans can tell you. It is a marketing ploy. They will tell you. Plus, Rodgers vs. Mahomes can be billed as the State Farm Bowl. Yes, Brady making it again, in TB, with both AFC/NFC teams will be big too. But the majority of fans would hate it and some wouldn't watch.
  17. Season three: Mando gets his tiny orange farm.
  18. Packer-Chiefs in a repeat of SB I is pretty compelling story... moreso than Brady in the SB again.
  19. Yes, I'd do that deal as well. The Cook/Kamara deals came after Gordon, though, and I'd think that type of money would be the bar for Jones at this point. Gordon's deal was pretty much the worst-case situation obviously. I'd think Jones is a step behind Cook and Kamara, but RB can be a fickle market.
  20. Melvin Gordon signed with the Broncos for 2 years and $16M when people expected him to break the bank. If that happens to Jones, would you do 2/$20M for Jones? I'd think yes. I felt sure King would go high this offseason, but I wonder if his injury continues to drive down his demand. If he remains solid in the playoffs (or especially makes a splash play in the next two games), then he probably will be too expensive.
  21. I figured it had something to do with who did it. My only real interest in seeing them is the tie to the main group. Personally, I preferred the Toby Maguire movies.
  22. We got Disney+ in December to watch the Mandalorian, but are currently burning through the 20 MCU movies (in chronological order) to get to End Game. Then I figure to pop over to Wandavision. Anyone know why the new Spiderman movies aren't considered part of the MCU End Game canon, despite him joining the fight in Civil War and some carry-over from the Spiderman movies (i.e. his and Tony Stark's relationship).
  23. Agreed. This is why I hate the "you're anti-science" argument that gets thrown around so often. Some cases it is legit (flat-earthers), but "science" has often been wrong and should be wrong at times. It explores new areas and tries new things. If you don't get something wrong from time-to-time you aren't producing many new theories. Thus it is legit to challenge it. If we didn't we'd all be flat-earthers... Neither extreme is a good thing.
  24. Seems like if the state wants to do it this way, a more prudent approach is to tell the county they need to submit a plan back to the state so the state will release the vaccine to them. Or tell them - here is the default state plan, confirm you will use it or submit us your plan before we release the vaccine.
  25. Yes, but splitting the jackpot lowers the outcome too. And as more people join, your odds of winning don't change, just the odds of splitting.
