  1. When did Griese start doing NFL? I thought he was a college announcer.
  2. Not to gripe, but technically with Bak coming out of his stance, that play should've been blown dead. I hate when our OL jump and point....
  3. I'll admit it... on AJ's run up the gut, I was watching Taylor loop around and AR fake a pass out there. Epic mis-direction. SO refreshing after years of uninspired play calling.
  4. No Clark, Gary, nor Kirksey and we got a 3 and out. Nice.
  5. Drat! I was still hoping for a mid-season trade with Texas... They don't have any draft picks left. I was thinking Watt for a 7th round pick in 2029
  6. Drat! I was still hoping for a mid-season trade with Texas...
  7. If DA doesn't go tonight (and I'd say it is about a 0.01% chance this was a planned ruse), I'm going to predict a coming out party for Darrius Shepherd. MVS might have a big night if they hit on a couple deep plays, but I think DS will be the one Rodgers trusts among the WRs for the short/intermediate stuff. Probably also going to be a good night for the three TE-migos: Tonyan, Sternberger, and Degura. I'm guessing that if those 4 people (including DS) catch balls, we still beat Atlanta. If they have the dropsies... I doubt we pull it off.
  8. So what if he ends up playing tonight? Maybe it was planned mis-information?
  9. I think his career statistics might disagree with you. The thing about Bostic was that the ball bounced as expected, yet he didn't execute the play as designed. No guarantees that Jordy catches the ball, but with him blocking, there is a better opportunity without the other team trying to dislodge the ball. If the play had gone in an unexpected manner, I wouldn't have faulted him for trying to catch it. He gets knocked for not doing his job (i.e. blocking).
  10. I wouldn't be too harsh on Kwik Trip and especially not the workers. A lot of stores have this stance because confrontation doesn't always go well either. Even the stores that do enforce it like Walmart (my local one has a guard on duty) and Menards have people walking around inside with the mask under their nose or down on their chin. People are people. My daughter attends a small (~1000) university that is doing in-person instruction and things have been going well so far. A few kids have been isolated for symptoms, but no one has had COVID. When we were on campus, kids were sticking to the rules pretty well - wearing masks inside, though maybe not so much social distancing. So it seems to be working for them. She's been there about 4 weeks now. Two of my kids have been attending high school in person and things are going well also (2.5 weeks so far).
  11. 2020 feels like we are permanently walking uphill...
  12. How does he go from 2022 to 2021? Graduating early?
  13. ironically, his defense has been better than expected.
  14. Good point. He has been frustrating to watch too. And past numbers say he should be much better also, yet looks mostly terrible at the plate.
  15. Zantacis the most recent one. No, I'm not relying on late night TV commercials for truth, but they highlight where problems that like to be covered up by Pharma companies. I'm also in the camp that the US is far too litigious and one of the main reasons our medical insurance costs so much, so its not like I'm reacting to each commercial with panic and paranoia. There have been other recent ones... I want to say a cholesterol reducer? I don't remember the name. I think some of the early biologics too.
  16. A hidden negative here is the fact that this pushes the season further back into cold-weather seasons. Not a problem to play in Milwaukee. But games in Boston, New York, Minneapolis, etc... are going to be increasingly brutal. I can see the Twins making the World Series at some point and getting snowed out.
  17. Well that seemed to work. So who else can we worry about now?
  18. Big Dog didn't age well and played poorly on defense, but he'd improve this team. In fact, I think he defense would be much better on this team than back in the day of isolation-offense.
  19. I suppose it would be like the NBA and MLB. They went in knowing that they might have to cancel it and bow out before the end of the season. But they can try anyway. I'm not sure how much different it will be now vs the spring anyway. There is a better chance of having a functioning vaccine, but no guarantees either. Seems like the NFL has been doing well with their controls - they are probably the template for B10 football too.
  20. From 5-57 with Seattle and Toronto. Hit that one hard as well. Saw an article from when Seattle released him noting his exit velocity was bottom 11% in the league - chicken or egg, was part of the problem. Chicken fixed.
