  1. So the SEC is complaining that the B10 might play fewer games this year?
  2. [sarcasm]He predicted he would. And I heard he has an inside source on that...[/sarcasm]

  5. I'm not anti-vax. I'm just cautious about "new" things in general. As an engineer, I never buy the first version of anything (even if I make it). Watch late night television and you'll see what are the latest medicines being sued because of some side-effect that wasn't known at the time of release of some medicine. People rushing makes mistakes; companies like to cut corners to save money and be out there first; Testing doesn't cover long term effects well; There are several common-mode sources of error. I'll probably take the vaccine, but I do think the pharma companies need to be very transparent about the success rate and side-effects of the virus. There will be a huge pressure for people to take it and we deserve to know that it was done well.

  8. Election aside, any medical procedure that is rushed makes me nervous in general. Pharma doesn't have the greatest track record even when not rushed.

  14. I was wondering what happened to his glasses.... [sarcasm]But its time to trade him. He gave up a run today... [/sarcasm]
  15. Sounds like Patrick missed having a major injury. Runyan looked decent out there. Maybe Turner can be OK back at guard, but not if its at last year's level. But at least we have some options.
  16. Yeah, I don't know the options on his route. I just saw him slow and put up his hands, then put on the afterburners to try to get to where Rodgers threw it. This writer saw the same thing. The rookie missed on a shot play up the sideline where he appeared to turn and look for the football too early, slowing down up the sideline.
  17. It looked like a route with two options. He held up as if he thought Rodgers was going to hit him short, but Kendrick had that covered. Then was late getting out and around Kendrick where Rodgers lead him. Rodgers probably could've put more air under it, but with his hesitation, it looked like he misread the defense. I live and work in the Twin Cities. Work will be fun tomorrow.
  18. Hader would be even more dominant in San Diego. Given the stadium would suppress home runs... its pretty hard to string a bunch of hits together against him.
  19. Very interesting to see Krys Barnes and Jon Lovett on the field with the defense and offense. Given they were elevated from the PS, I expected them to see backup/special teams only. Lovett was only out on one(?) play and blocking. But Barnes looked like the second starting MLB out there (as much as we use the position) and made a couple big plays. Summers was listed as the starter, but I don't remember seeing either him nor Burke on the field on defense. Degura was out there more than I expected also. Made one nice play and was too slow on another route. Runyan was up and down. He had a lot of help in pass protection, but was a key blocker in Jones' last TD run. I wasn't expecting to see Dillon at all, so him getting in a couple nice runs was good to see. Love was thankfully quiet. All-in-all a good day for the rookies. Edit: I guess Barnes is on the regular roster, but still.. for a guy that was behind Burks and Summers, he sure played a lot.
  20. That is why the patriots win super bowls and Chicago continues to "shuffle" since '85
  21. Excellent! He even gives us the win in such a fashion to not make it obvious. He can do it a few more times before the Cubs figure it out.
