  1. HGH wasn't around then. The earliest I can find HGH being developed was in the 1980's. Source? Remember that "being developed" and "widely utilized for human consumption" are very different things. I'm quite sure the East Germans were doing things on an experimental basis long before it was available and approved for US medical usages. I also have no doubt that what they were using and what we consider HGH aren't exactly the same thing. However, I don't think "it doesn't help someone that already has HGH" is completely valid either. It might not help a baseball player who relies on coordination as much as a weight lifter, but I doubt that its zero help either.
  2. I think everyone in the 1972 Olympics might testify to East Germany's use of HGH and the impacts.
  3. Exactly. Nothing beats a good slab of beef jerky!
  4. Watching Matthews on Lebron was beautiful.
  5. Reticent? I thought about mentioning Pizza hut as a joke...
  6. I'm going to go all Rian Johnson on you guys and ignore everything that has been said prior... Having just watched the movie, I agree that this was the best of the three. But I still don't get why they can't keep from repeating parts of episodes 4-6. Here we are again with the Emporer asking someone to strike him down to take his place; goading them by showing the space battle and that "no one is coming to help". Episodes 7&8 were worse at plagiarism, and Episode 9 almost made it out ...but then had to fail at the end again and copy an old story. And why hasn't the Emporer learned not to zap himself with lightning??? Third time in three trilogies...
  7. I miss Eduardo's downtown Milwaukee for the deep dish pizza. It was my college celebration spot (finals complete, engagements, graduations, etc..).
  8. Because it would provide an actual punishment to the team ownership. Thus providing an incentive for the management to actively prevent such things in the future. It's common in college ranks.
  9. I'm never really sure exactly how much to share from a paid site, but I'll do my best to summarize it and include some of the quotes, but most of the parts in the quotes will be paraphrased or cut up into smaller parts of the full quote. Paraphrases and summaries are best. Large cut-n-paste quotes are a no-no. Thanks for summarizing it.
  10. The Astros should be banned from post-season play for a few years to boot. The draft picks and $5M "sting" the franchise, but not greatly. Possibly strip the WS title too.
  11. Of course, the Brewers had 2,923,333 in attendance last year and the Twins had 2,294,152. That isn't the sole revenue impact to the "market", but its a big one. Of course, they would've drawn as many if they had a roof. April games are horrible...as are the rain-outs.
  12. Dear Mr. Rodgers, Please remember how the San Fransisco 49ers passed on you with the 1st pick in the draft. Now is the time to get your payback. Thanks, The Fans
  13. Skipped pages 2-8, but this seems like we signed a right-handed Travis Shaw.
  14. Skipped pages 2-8, but this seems like we signed a right-handed Travis Shaw.
  15. Technically they can already claim that they developed him into #1 (not TOR nor Ace) SP. Just that they didn't teach him to slide properly.
  16. When the Vikings and Chicago defenses were running our routes better than our WRs were, there was a problem. The scheme had been so unchanging and familiar, that they weren't fooled by anything anymore. Couple that with the talent gap where we couldn't win many individual matchups and they were going to be bad. Looking back a few years, we have had the talent level to win those matchups, so doing the same thing didn't matter. But you can't both be predictable AND mediocre talent. Yes, a TT problem, but an MM problem too.
  17. Actually, that isn't bad. I mis-read the contract as $3.6M/year. I feel better about that extension now.
  18. I'm not sure if its MM's weight or not (see Holmgren, Reid, and a million other fat coaches), but there is truth in this. [sarcasm]Perhaps MM just needs to develop that pursed lip scowl that Payton does so well.[/sarcasm]
  19. I'd give MM much more credit for the early part of his tenure than what was stated, but things really went off the rails the last 5 years or so. The offense really stagnated and he stuck with coaches (i.e. Capers) far too long. He also promoted guys to odd positions (i.e. Bennett to WR coach) that didn't really benefit the team. I also agree that Dak doesn't seem like a MM QB. I guess we will see if MM is a QB coach or not--[sarcasm]granted, he never came up with a cool warm-up dance like Dak does now, so how good of a coach can he really be?[/sarcasm]
  20. Miami has a boatload of picks in the next two drafts. Dolphins 2020 picks: – 2020 1st-round pick (MIA) – 2020 1st-round pick (HOU) – 2020 1st-round pick (PIT) – 2020 2nd-round pick (MIA) – 2020 2nd-round pick (NO) – 2020 3rd-round pick (MIA) – 2020 3rd-round pick (Comp – Ja’Wuan James) – 2020 5th-round pick (MIA) – 2020 5th-round pick (PIT) – 2020 5th-round pick (Comp – Cam Wake) – 2020 6th-round pick (MIA) – 2020 6th-round pick (DAL) – 2020 7th-round pick (MIA) – 2020 7th-round pick (KC) Dolphins 2021 draft picks: – 2021 1st-round pick (MIA) – 2021 1st-round pick (HOU) – 2021 2nd-round pick (MIA) – 2021 2nd-round pick (HOU) – 2021 3rd-round pick (MIA) – 2021 4th-round pick (MIA) – 2021 5th-round pick (MIA) – 2021 6th-round pick (PIT) Sounds like a similar situation Dallas was in after trading Walker to Minnesota long ago in an era far away. But the real question is if Miami can draft well or not.
  21. With as well as EJ played at G, I think it would be foolish to move him. He has ProBowl potential. Patrick's extension surprised me, but I suppose if he is starting RG next year it makes some sense. Otherwise, it seems like an expensive backup at G.
  22. Looked like we were actually letting him run, but when it was obvious he wasn't going to go in, I think he tried to make him fumble. Tough either way. Stinking game. Completely lost it ourselves. The PI call was bad, but we can't make that many mistakes and expect to win.
  23. Wow, wow, and wow. Terrible flag.
  24. Or how about a 6 minute 95-yard TD drive? That'd be nice too.
