  1. Agreed. And the fans didn't like it either based on what they were chanting. Why in the world can't we beat Ohio State when it really matters?
  2. Well, not scoring at all is 100% chance of loss... our inability to connect on a screen pass is maddening...
  3. OK defense... time to step it up and earn your 1st place ranking
  4. Hornibrook looks horrible today. But accuracy-wise, Stave's worst days were worse. Hornibrook's best days were better. Stave had a NFL arm. Hornibrook doesn't. Overall Stave had 2% less completion percentage than Hornibrook. Here is Stave's NFL draft profile: BOTTOM LINE Stave has size, a strong arm, loads of experience and plays in a run-first offense, yet he's produced 19 touchdowns and 22 interceptions over the last two seasons. For all the physical boxes he checks off, issues with accuracy and decision-making have been too present in his game and fans at Wisconsin let him know about it. Stave throws as pretty a pass as any quarterback in this draft, but very few quarterbacks have been able to overcome his weaknesses and become reliable NFL quarterbacks.
  5. Evaluating prospects isn't simply saying "what kind of stats have you put up lately? Yeah, but unfortunately, reports stated his FB was also way down. Hopefully it was due to his inactivity and it returns next year...
  6. Yeah, but where does Grisham slot into our Top 25?
  7. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hughes back at a sub $3M contract
  8. Stave's arm was MUCH stronger, but not as accurate. Hornibrook has a very weak arm for a college QB.
  9. I was a huge Fiers fan back when he was coming up through the system and pitching for the Brewers. But I also was a fan of trading him when they did (trading high anyone?). If he is non-tendered, maybe its worth a free Fiers flyer. But I wouldn't trade anyone away for him.
  10. That makes sense. Overall numbers looked very good (QB rating of 134.3+), but he didn't strike me as playing THAT well. He deserves credit for the big plays too (at least a couple of them), but his overall numbers are a bit of a paper tiger.
  11. Its been frustrating not getting more SB victories (or even appearances), but MM is still a good coach overall. I'm stunned by that FG attempt however. THat was plain stupid. Capers really, really needs to go however. Our defense is so predictable that good offenses know exactly how to attack it. He had a couple wrinkles in the last game, but most the time its same ole, same ole. If MM doesn't get rid of him, he needs to go also.
  12. https://www.untuckit.com/ Officially banned in Missouri. No sightings of Mike Cameron as spokesman.
  13. Speaking of which, pot meet kettle. But sorry for thinking giving 8 figure contracts, even short term for mediocre or worse options is a good idea. Guys, please focus on the thread and not each other
  14. +1. No one in the system is a sure fire HOF caliber player
  15. Are the standards that low that Joe Flacco makes our defense look "half bad?" He had a season high completion %age by a fair margin yesterday lol. Their offense is basically what the Gophers did @ Northwestern this past weekend. Given 5 TO and 2 failed 4th down attempts gave the Ravens incredible field position, giving up 23 points and getting off the field for several 3andOuts was pretty good. I could care less about the opposing QB's completion rating when he is throwing short most of the time.
  16. Matt Flynn where are you?
  17. Ugh... that game was UUUUgly. The only redeeming factor was our defense didn't look half bad.
  18. I'm not sure how... their coach keeps teaching them crew instead of football.
  19. Has anyone said he will turn into or should be anything more? Why shouldn't he? There was some consideration (small consideration) that he would've been a 1st round pick.
  20. Personally, I think the best case scenario is DC is fired and MM&TT remain. But that wasn't the point of the post. Either way, they need a new DC that injects some life and creativity to the defense. I think we have a lot of talent on D, they just play way to predictable of a scheme...
  21. Twin Cities Fox is hyping the Gophers as finally returning to something decent.
  22. I'd be happy with Hundley if was a rookie. Having 3 years to practice and playing pretty "meh" while making very rookie mistakes (focusing on one side of the field, late passes, missing the blitz, etc..) is disappointing. He might be work his way up to being an ok backup. But seeing how raw he still looks makes me think that he will be nothing but a backup. But he did look better than Trubisky.

  24. Well, Hundley did look better than Trubisky (who is also known as "Mr. Biscuit"). He is showing improvement, but I don't see him as a starter in the league. After 3 years, he has a long way to go yet.
  25. Well, OSU took out their frustrations from last week out on MI State...
