Since you gave an opinion about what other people's opinions were, I simply asked for a basis on how you formed that opinion.
I could say, "My opinion is that you think I'm smart", that could very well be my opinion... but not based on any knowledge of your opinions.
Quite literally, I said, " He isn't a bad QB" and "he (Love) might have a similar trajectory (to Hurts) of being very good, but not great."
If you've seen my posts in the IGTs this year, I've been critical of Love and his play. Not because I think we should dump him, but to identify the things that are holding him back and there are some basic things to work on.
Hurts is probably going to be what he is now. 4+ years of starting and he doesn't show much variance to his play or results the last 3 years. I'm assuming he has pretty much plateaued in his development or have some minor improvements.
Love has been starting 2 years and I see some basic improvements he could be making to his game yet (blitz identification and reactions, better understanding of the holes in the D.
If you want to compare the two today... they are comparable, close, neck and neck. If it came down to Hurts being better today, fine. I was looking for which one had the better upside, which I think Love still has a chance to improve more.
In a game where the best QBs win most of the SuperBowls, having just a very good one shouldn't be the goal.
