  1. I'm actually excited to see Myers out there tonight. I love his bulldog mentality and despite his late season (minor) fade, I have a feeling he will shine in the bright lights tonight.
  2. Maybe we should be asking the question of if Whelan can kick FGs??? It really is too bad because I really do want to like Narveson. He seems more like a football player than Carlson did. Just turn your body 3 degrees to the left and you are fine!
  3. To the Rule 5 point, all three of Henderson, Patrick, and Smith would need to be added to the 40 man roster to be protected. Wouldn't surprise me to see 1 or 2 of them not return for that reason. They aren't exactly high end prospects, but BP ready pitchers are pretty easy targets for that draft.
  4. I find it odd that the Packer started Ford's return from IR. Where does he go? Are they really that down on Wooden that Ford might replace him? Is Wyatt's injury worse than we thought? Or would they activate him to release him to put him on the PS?
  5. You're good. No need to mush all Packer topics in one thread. Davante's trade request: All Packer fans say... yep, told ya so. I can see (kind of hope?) the Packers can snag a kicker somewhere.
  6. I was part of the solution for that game and I believe it did sell out or was at least visibly "full". So many season ticket holders giving up the chance to buy tickets because it didn't look like we were going to make the playoffs is the major reason that happened.
  7. I seem to remember some complaints about not selling out Bucks games in the first games of the early series the last couple years too. But Packers games are no comparison. Having a one game "series" for each round and only 3-4 games to win a championship (with only a max of 2 home games) does change how people are going to take care of limited opportunities.
  8. That is a good analogy. Rea's best usage now is if one of our starters gets a quick hook to go in and pitch 2-3 innings as a bridge. Hopefully you get the good Rea that stems the bleeding and allows us time to score some runs. But if you get the more recent burnt-out Rea, it would be less painful if he falters too (since you are already in the hole at that point).
  9. Fixed that for you. 😉 #havefaith
  10. Maybe being back in Milwaukee will help him recapture 2023 Winker?
  11. Which isn't all the surprising knowing that last year our pitching was excellent, but we struggled to hit our way out of a wet paper bag. Our offense had to improve! Then knowing we lost Burnes, Woodruff, and most of Miley out of our starting rotation plus half a year of Williams in the BP... only netting -1.3 rWAR is a massive win for the season.
  12. CC is sitting at home watching us play. Time to make David Sterns regret leaving!
  13. I can understand the first two games... we were playing "containment" for pass rush. The Titans was equally hard to gauge because they didn't have a legit NFL RT. Though Gary had a nice game, not outstanding. Against the Vikings, he really didn't do much of anything for pass rush. He really isn't the dominant take-over-the-game type player like we hope.
  14. For some reason, I was thinking Boeve split between AA and AAA this year, but it was A+/AA instead. So yes, probably tasting AAA first. Boeve and Black probably are a lot the same (offensive players without great D)...except Boeve is actually playing 2B. Black... I'm not sure what to think about him. I see people still wanting him on the playoff roster despite the fact he has been bad at the MLB level all year. He probably should get a longer look, but I'm getting a major Hiura vibe from him. 😞
  15. I see a lot of trade ideas to replace Adames next year (including 3B or 2B options and sliding Ortiz/Turang to SS), but what about internal options? Boeve looks like a downgrade defensively, but that probably has a smaller impact at 2B. His bat on the other hand would be really nice if he can approach his MiLB numbers at the MLB level.
  16. Funny how much love the Viking OTs get, yet Walker is pretty close to O'Neil and ahead of Derrisaw on that chart. With Tom obviously light years ahead of them both.
  17. I know most of the posts were in August before Ashby "returned", but looks highly unlikely Ashby is anywhere but the Brewer's roster next year. And that is a good thing.
  18. When copying someone else's content, please remember to include the link. I edited the OP, but just a friendly reminder to give the credit when using someone else's content.
  19. Ah.. I miss Gado. Flash in the pan as an RB, but a great guy, story, and production when we needed him.
  20. The original Dumb and Dumber, eh!
  21. FYI, anyone is welcome to make the gameday threads. I have the last couple weeks for the same reason you did... I had something to start the conversation off with. And yes, Mr. Jones has always been a class act. He is my biggest worry in the game Sunday. We did poorly against JT and the Colts. Jones is very much the same back as JT. Plus we've seen him torch many teams when healthy. Of course... just like all the other former Packers become Vikings... we love you until you put the purple on. Then we love you when you take the purple off. But it is enemies in between. It would be funny if Packer fans started tweeting with the hashtag #FREEAARONJONES again. 😂
  22. Maybe it's my G&G glasses on, but there is part of me that thinks he isn't overly bright about money matters and surrounded himself with sleazeball managers that suggested the idea without full disclosure of what the impacts really would be. Like how most (all?) of us don't bother to read the license agreements when signing up for a new web site or installing software. "Yeah, we found a great way to fund this project from 'the government'. Should we go get that money? Sure, sounds great!" But either way, Favre has to own it because he was ultimately responsible for it.
  23. For the graph, I assumed @homer's prediction was in jest...but he is a homer... 😉
  24. May you be 5 low! 😉
  25. We underestimated Murphy's Law. 😉
