  1. Birchard walk Munoz and he is out now. Yerlin time 😬
  2. Hot dang. He hit that to deep center. And tries to go to third and looks clumsy, but avoided the tag, but apparently the ump thought he came off the bag and is out at third. 11-3 Shuckers
  3. And George steals bases #81 and #82 against Birchard. C'mon Ryan let's get out of this inning.
  4. Birchard having a nice start so far, but very-Birchard-like outing with 5K, 2 walks (actually that is very good for him!) but a WP and HBP and he is at 86 pitches in the 6th. (for comparison Wichrowski got through 7 innings on 87 pitches)
  5. Lara who has been on base all at-bats maybe, reaches on an error and gets to 2nd. Wood just gets a hit through the right side to score Lara. Eduardo Garcia lines a ball just over the third baseman and that scores Wood. Shuckers up 9-3. Workinger feasts on the Shuckers pitching, but the Shuckers offense like the Clingstone pitching a lot as well. A lot of hits and runs.
  6. Looks like Dorchies has a good start - 4 IP gives up 2 runs, but 3 K (yet 4 hits and 4 BB). Dubanewicz pitches an inning in relief so far and keeps it tied 2-2, giving up just 1 hit. Mudcats up to try to get some more runs across.
  7. Ugh. Wichrowski goes in to the 7th and again 2 outs, and then Conley just crushes it to right for a HR. 7-3 now. But he gets the next batter to swing and miss, and Ks him. Gets through a total of 7 full innings in just 87 pitches. Great night by Brett who just turned 23 yesterday
  8. Vargas slides and clearly see his clete pop up after hitting the bag just before the glove hits his back. And the call? Obviously out 🙄
  9. Wichrowski cruising until he isn't. Get through 5.2 IP and then loses command and walk Jarvis. Pitch away, then grooves a fast ball that McCabe hits for a single. Next guy up ... Workinger. Makes him look silly on the first pitch. But then after just missing it low, the next pitch is ropes just fair into the RF corner and scores two. But he tries to go to third, and Spain to Warren to Vargas and it's out #3. Wichrowski has been good - only 67 pitches to get trhough 6 IP. Spain sets a records with his 13th outfield assist. Very impressive under the radar things he has added to this club.
  10. Restituyo launches one to left, but foul. Not that close, but if he straightened it out like 50-80 feet to the right, it's a 3 run HR. Shuckers head to 6 leading 7-0 (yes I'm watching on delay as I went back to the 4th inning)
  11. Pratt was hit by a pitch in the 2nd inning - so something to watch - precautionary, rest or injury. Oh boy just as he was starting to heat up. Lara is hitting, and Burke is hitting HRs. Imagine if this line up had Adams and Wilken as well.
  12. Pratt with a huge HR to left. But he exits the game the next half inning - Vargas enters at 3B, Garcia over to SS. Javik doesn't report anything and guesses out loud that maybe precautionary after a long week to get him rest with a 6-0 lead. Still watching the 5th inning to see if hear anything. Otherwise Wichrowski is cruising.
  13. Wow double digit runs against for Carolina, Wisconsin and Biloxi. welp. See you all tomorrow.
  14. Baseball gods punishing the minor leaguers for the big club magic. Wow just wow. Wheni left work, big club down 8-1, and encouraging starts for TRats, Shuckers and Mudcats. Since then near total reversals across the board.
  15. A lot of offense all around. Sadly most of it against Milwaukee affiliate’s pitching. Yikes TRats top 3 of the order seem ok don’t they? Rest of that line up - not so much - well Alastre has two hits. Sam Garcia struggled, and really hasn’t hit his stride in high A. Quero with a nice night. sounds win. Yoho and Fitzpatrick with scoreless outings that’s good. Shuckers offense Ok. KC Hunt not so much. One of the few guys who regressed this year that was not injury related. Secretly I am believing the pitching development staff wants him to focus on a few things and he is getting hit because of it and next year he will come out stronger. Mudcats pitching staff seeing their ERA jump after tonight’s beat down. Muddies not doing so well with the promotions and injuries, and pitching staff of essentially only teenagers. Good learning curve, but gonna make the playoffs a lot harder to make. DSL kids win - and that karma results in loses at the other affiliates 😟
  16. Looks at scores and see Ethan Workinger hits another HR against Biloxi. That guy loves him Shuckers pitching. I will have to look up how many of his seasons HRs came against Shuckers pitchers this year... OK I looked it up - he has 16 on the year, and 9 (yes 9!) against Biloxi. That is insane, over half of them against a team they play a few times a year (this the 4th series of Biloxi v Columbus) Just wild. Bob Seymour is the other guy I recall just mashing Brewer minor league pitchers, and I'm sure there are others, but Workinger vs the Shuckers it the tonic he needs apparently.
  17. my fingers were all thumbs last night (typing wrong base runners, getting innings and outs confused, and now typing 100 when I clearly heard 110 - i think it was stated as 109.7 and Mehring says lets round it up to 110). Wow all kinds of rookie mistakes by me last night - pretty exciting games and lots of activity to watch.
  18. It is the depth that is key. I posted last night but out current infield depth with serious prospects is as follows: 1B - Burke, Adams, BItonti 2B - Adamczewski, Dickinson SS - Made, Pena, Pratt 3B - Wilken, Fischer, Ebel That doesn't even factor in DiTuri or CJ Hughes among others, and still after trading away Areinamo and Quintana (only Areinamo would have made this short list) Then add the pitchers, and a small breakdown of the drafted pitchers I reviewed in the 2025 draft discussions with their ages and level and appropriate success So yeah a LOT of depth. AND high end talent to boot. That's what you want in a system
  19. It's karma - how many bad calls have caused hiccups particularly it seems in Mudcat games the past 2-3 weeks
  20. Yeah I was just thinking about the great depth the brewers have across the infield, but how I can't put DiTuri into this grouping yet: 1B - Burke, Adams, BItonti 2B - Adamczewski, Dickinson SS - Made, Pena, Pratt 3B - Wilken, Fischer, Ebel Di Turi was solidly on that list in May/June, but he has fallen off again. Disappointing to see. Hopefully he can work on that in the offseason. Last year he had to improve his power and he did, this year he has to improve his stamina for the whole season.
  21. Wow. After a lot of bad calls going against our teams (looking at you in the Mudcat game the other night ignoring anything Adamczewski did), the T-Rats just were gifted an out. Liner to third, and Fischer can't snare it, it gets away and he runs to the bag and was late but George called out then throws to 2nd to get Hope for a DP. Blown call but I will absolutely take it Then Figueroa strikes out Gelof. That is how you end it. What a game, absolute chaos the last inning, just wild. A win - however it was even if a blown call assisted it, is a win I will gladly take. Go watch the first inning of the TRats offense and the last inning (bottom of the 8th), and you will be entertained. EDIT: meant to write bottom of the 8th as the home team. Too excited, rookie mistake by me
  22. Walks Hope, and 2 on with no out. Figueroa making it more difficult on himself. Can't squander that wonderful comeback now can we? Let's get some outs now.
  23. Walks the first batter George, and then it's Hope, Wagner and Gelof. Not the batters you want to face here.
  24. Just not Dinges night. He does not have off nights like this often. But he Ks to end that rally, but wow what a comeback by the kids in Appleton.
  25. OK So excited I didn't realize that Made held up. So it was TIED But no worries Andrew Fischer bails me out with the most Brewer of any hit a squibbler between pticher and 1B and he beats it out for an infield single. And Pena scores from 2nd on an infield hit. Yup you read that right. Pardon my post before, but T-RATS now LEAD!
