  1. Have I mentioned that Bitonti's off season program is to try to close some of the holes in the swing. His decision is not bad some times, but he just can't make contact. When he does he makes serious contact, just not enough.
  2. Garcia draws a walk to get a run home for the Shuckers - very nice. Warren flies out to end the inning. Mudcats line up is crazy young again, even younger now That's Payne (19), Ragsdale (old guy at 21), Ebel (18), Bitonti (19), Encarnacion (18), Anderson (18), DiTui (19), Holguin (just turned 20) and Walther (another old guy at 21) and Hernandez (19) pitching
  3. It is that Cornielle tonight - hang onto your seats for the rollercoaster ride gents
  4. Wow Milbrandt sounds like he is absolutely dealing. 3rd round pick in 2022 - third year of pitching in high A. Marlins #20 prospect.
  5. I plan to ride along for as long as he is here - as I wonder if he will be in another organization next season. But the best part of that Shuckers line up is Cooper Pratt in his customary 2nd spot after leaving Saturday's game and missing Sunday's tilt.
  6. Letson looked good overall. 95 on his first pitch, but was 93-94 mph, and his breaking ball was great when he located, a few were erratic. Good outing back. But boy that Loons team - George, DePaula, Quintero, Hope all 19-20 years old and very very talented players. Well - I guess the T-Rats have the same with Pena/Made (18) as well Dinges/Fischer (21).
  7. Went back and watched Tyler Renz's outing. He worked efficiently and got a lot of grounders. Struck out a few his curveball was his main weapon, but good to see him get through 3 innings. And an error by Lameda that he booted that got a runner, on who stole then went to third and scored on a wild pitch that Walther could have maybe blocked, but didn't matter as the next batter got on a infield hit that Holguin did not field well and a bad throw. But Renz K'd his last batter. Nice outing by the youngster. Watching Letson' start from earlier now.
  8. Nope no magic. The Mudcats your only winners today. A double dip of DSL Brewers vs Royals (Gold vs Ventura, and Blue vs Fortuna) tomorrow, otherwise back at it Tuesday night.
  9. Heck of a catch by the Clingstone left fielder who ran into their bullpen and caught a foul of Garcia's bat that looked a sure foul ball to the seat, but just inside the netting. He held on and that's the third out. 7-3. Off to the 9th, I will check back again in a little bit to see if some Shuckers magic can happen.
  10. Blake Burke with a single to left, and it's 7-3 now. Burke is 2-3 today. He is liking the Southern league as well for this southern boy.
  11. Manfredi got a couple of runners on and exits to Middendorf who had been decent in a couple outings, but he had a rough inning of relief work. And Merkel gives up a couple more. It's 7-2 Clingstones now. Bottom of 8th.
  12. Restituyo HR give the Shuckers the lead. Burke with a double. But is stranded.
  13. Wow Nick Kahle is in pitching for the Sounds. That pitching staff is depleted. It’s a 4-3 game, welp 4-4 game now as he gives up a HR
  14. Looks like Yeager got himself in some trouble - 4 straight walks. But after walking in a run, leaves the rest stranded.
  15. DeBerry does pitch the 5th. And it’s 1-2-3. 71 pitches. Likely done now? But wow 7K, 1 Bb and 1 hit (that HR).
  16. Encarnacion Ks looking. Nasty curve. Anderson flies out to left and Payne scores. (Isn’t that a sac fly? Anderson is 0-4 and no sac fly in the box score) DiTuri now bloops one (a little more a liner) to shallow center and it’s 4-1.
  17. Payne steals second and Ragsdale very patient and draws a walk. Adamczewski just bloops it and 2 feet short of the CF for a single. 2-1 Mudcats. Let’s go.
  18. Payne’s speed forces a rushed throw and an error puts runners at the corners. Mudacts were up 1-0, tied 1-1. Renz pitched 3 innings - 1 unearned run, 2K and 0 BB.
  19. DeBerry get two grounders then strikes out nemesis Workinger on a pretty curveball (maybe?). His 7th K. At 60 pitches through 4 IP, nit sure if he will go for 5th given his workload on Tuesday. Will see.
  20. I will have to go back to watch but Michael Fowler did get into the Sounds game. But 2 hits and 3 walks and gives up 2 runs. Otherwise it’s 4-2 Sounds and it’s a bullpen game (McGee starts, Fowler follows, and Holub pitching as well). No Carlos Rodriguez- maybe just being cautious with him??
  21. DeBerry no hitting no more. Crap Clohisy hammers one to right tie game 1-1. DeBerry was cruising through 3.
  22. Sounds like you have your retirement fund there😉 Seriously - that is awesome-. I hope that trio of prospects all come to fruition as those guys will look awesome in the big show someday
  23. DeBerry does start. Pratt not in the line up, uh oh. That is another potential gut punch for this year. How many top 10-20 prospects have had to miss significant time so far - Wilken, Adams, Hardin, Letson, Quero, Knoth, Dinges, Boeve and recently Henderson. Let's see if we get any update from Javik on Pratt.
  24. Huge caught stealing. Gets the first out and with 2 outs Loons hitter doubles. Ugh, no, George who has tormented the TRats this series triples home the run and scores on an error. Yikes Now a 5-3 deficit. Dang up 3-0 and now behind in the 8th. Feels like the Mudcats game yesterday.
  25. Made fouls off a tough pitch and lays off a couple more tough pitches, showing his very good eye at the plate. But gets under the 3-2 pitch and pops it up. Not a lot hits for the T-Rats but they have drawn 6 walks. Will go back later today to watchin Letson's outing. Just great to see his name in the boxscore
