  1. What kind of alternate universe is this in 2025 - with DSL squads hitting and winning, and the other affiliated clubs struggling (with injuries and depletions catching up).... Good that there are draft picks and promotions to hopefully try to revive the affiliated clubs for the next month. Oh year and there is some big league club too 😉
  2. White Sox had 5 former Brewers pitchers on their 40-man roster, but after trading away Adrian Houser, they decide to double down and bump that up to 6: Tyler Alexander, Aaron Civale, Bryan Hudson, Elvis Peguero, Shane Smith and Gus Varland.
  3. One would think Fielder and Encarnacion could debut in Carolina, along with Daniel Dickinson, with Fischer joining Pena, Made, and soon Adamczewski in Wisconsin?
  4. Welp. Black Ks. His lack of offense now for 2 years running is very unfortunate.
  5. It's Daz's world and we just live in it 3-run jack to get the Sounds within 1. Do they have more 9th inning magic left???
  6. Yup wheels coming off in Scranton-Wilkes Barre. And T-Rats give up the first run of the game again - Captains have scored first in all 6 games. Yikes.
  7. Birchard escapes with a grounder to 2nd. Scoreless still. But he is approaching 60 pitches to get through these 2 innings. Aquino was warming up - wonder if they will try to get another inning from Birchard, or just call it a day having pitched 92 pitches in 5.2 IP on Tuesday.
  8. Birchard is doing Birchard things. He has the 4 K in 1.2 IP, but now 3 walks. And pitch count is over 50. Bases loaded trying to get out of the 4th.
  9. The last double was well hit, and a very good defensive fielder may have tracked it down, but Black did not. Not saying he should have, but he was close. Dang it - took the lead and gave it right back. In Wisconsin Birchard labors through gives up a hit and walk, but all outs via the K.
  10. Looks like Gasser went 2 innings - Birchard in. Gasser very effective- only 1 hit and had 16 pitches of which 13 strikes. Got a K, no walks. Slowly making his way back.
  11. Ollie Dunn line drive hit scores 2. Nashville now up 4-1
  12. Looks like Carolina at Augusta is canceled due to rain.
  13. Cut him. He peaked at 17 😉 But his swoon in mid May lasted 2 weeks. ‘He struggled mightily to start July and was off for several games (including the ASG break) and rebounded slightly, but as noted he has not shown any power recently- could be adjustments, fatigue or nagging minor injuries. Hopefully he gets into a hot streak again soon. His tools shine and he has more power potential, but he looks like he can be streakier. Peña has solid tools as well with less power projection but also appears more consistent. Nice to have them both
  14. If Carolina need reinforcements- I would think Fielder (given his age) and Encarnacion (given the production and tools) would be most likely from the Complex Crew?
  15. Good point And while some may say it’s more about individual success in the minors, there is something to be said for a group of players having individual and team success together - and getting playoff experience even if at the lower levels is a valuable experience. So very likely most of the Mudcats roster stay intact. Travis Smith was just bumped, and if a position player gets bumped up it’s more like Adamczewski and he could see a “Pratt” style cup of coffee with Biloxi prior to the playoffs maybe. But I could see him staying in Carolina for the season given the time he missed and to keep him and the others fresh and hopefully healthy.
  16. I didn’t watch but there was an injury time out Eduardo’s last at bat after a foul - so maybe hit something and soreness didn’t go away 🤷‍♂️ ‘Otherwise exactly why? Hedbert comes up and smokes a 3-2 pitch, but right at the second baseman- I mean he didn’t move. Dang. Still down but the deficit is 2-1 now
  17. Delgado throws away out #3 on a nice play to get to it. Payamps falling behind again to the 8th batter. Delgado fields it and makes the throw. And it’s over 7-5.
  18. Will Payamps blow the 7-2 lead?? oh no it’s 7-3 with only 1 out, runners on the corners, nay now bases loaded. Yikes 😳
  19. Daz answers. With a 2 run hit. 5-2 now. Wowza
  20. Big double to give the Sounds a lead. First hit for EMJ this series.
  21. Nice to see the D&D combo pitch - Dubanewicz back, and the 2 combined for 9 K to 1 walk, and only 5 hits. They should have fared better than the 5 runs allowed.
  22. Wow. Yes he was ok in June and dreadful in July. Long year for the young kid. Peña hasn’t slumped as much. Again it has felt that Pratt/Lara in Biloxi and Made/Pena in Carolina have had to shoulder a lot of the offense during the injuries/slumps of other players. All 4 still so young for their levels. Still I was hoping for more from all 4 of those young lads.
  23. Love the enthusiasm @Joseph Zarr. You called Adamczewski last season or in the offseason this year, and Dinges early on this year. Are you claiming Fischer before any of us get to see him play 😂 Hey I am calling MaKale Holden - watched a couple of his interviews and his smile is big time and seems down to earth ready to work. But my track history is not as great as yours as Cornielle is good but never been elite. Holden has some big tools pitching wise, but needs command and refinement - anyone know an organization that has a history of developing pitching that way 😉
  24. I have not seen or heard anything, and if there is news it will be updated here typically. But it seemed like a serious hamstring injury, so I would have suspected at least a month. The Brewers have become very conservative with injuries (like many teams) opting for full recovery for the players long term, as opposed to getting them back sooner for short terms gains (player and team). So I suspect we will either hear of or see an update in the next few weeks or he may miss the rest of this season. I would imagine (if healthy) Dinges and a guy like Adams or even Adamczewski, L. Castillo and even Payne could be fall league candidates. EDIT: I stand corrected as @wiguy94 found a video above - that’s great news. Thank you sir!!
