  1. Yeah I was questioning if it was a double steal attempt or just a busted steal attempt. But the Adams faceplant and the late break by Areinamo (was it truly a double steal?) and two chances to win just went the wrong way.
  2. And to make matters worse - a double steal attempt? And Lara breaks for second the pitcher goes but the throw then goes home and they get Areinamo by a foot or so. 3rd out. Still tied. Oh man. They had two glorious chances. Meanwhile Wilken crushed a deep sac fly and then they strand ORae at third.
  3. And Areinamo with the liner to LF falls in. And it’s tied! 3-3. Still only 1 out. Runners still on the corners.
  4. TRats with the tying run on base. 3-1 now. Runners at the corners.
  5. And he gets the weak grounder to SS. EBJ with the easy throw, and it's a solid W for Biloxi in the 2nd game.
  6. 100 mph fastball to K to end the game. A little less command but did what he had to - nice job Miz.
  7. EBJ draws a walk. And then Sparks!! a single to RF and it's a 2 run single now. Shuckers up 6-3 Misio in to close it out for Nashville. A little wild, but has 2 outs.
  8. And EBJ with a lazy pop up halfway up the first base line. The pitcher, catcher and 1B all converge. And NO ONE catches it. What a break for EBJ. Can he take advantage????
  9. Just thinking - how many UDFA/Indy league pitchers do the Brewers have in the system who are moving along nicely? AAA - Shane Smith, Ryan Middendorf, Meeker AA - Hunt, Bowman, Merkel, Childers and Costello A+ - Rund, Bryant and Root Who am I missing?
  10. Man Chase is looking right at home in AA. They lose a huge pitcher in Shane Smith (congrats) and gain a key relieve in Chase. But that is one less arm for Wisconsin. That's the fine balance of affiliate ball - team goals and player development don't always go together and player development is the goal of the organization. Good luck to both young men, but a nice 2 innings for Costello. Hoping to give the 7th to Yeager, let's see if we can get an insurance run please!
  11. And Warren breaks the tie. Another just rocket - this time to RF. Is that why it's Rocket City??? ANd Tyler Jay gets out of the inning. Nice play by Black for out #2, and nice pitch to K Brian Anderson (yes that Brian Anderson)
  12. @Joseph Zarr "your boy" Tyler Jay is in 😉. (For others - not that there is anything wrong with him just a head scratcher trade, and losing a fan fav)
  13. oh my. Chase Costello with a nasty pitch and a strike out ... BUT .. passed ball by Miller and runners on 1st and 2nd base. Instead of inning over, it's a tough spot for Chase.
  14. Black takes a walk - with the bases loaded, and it's 10-4 Sounds. Let's keep it going. Meanwhile Chase Costello makes his AA debut. And retires the first batter. EDIT: make that two straight by Chase, with a slick fielding play by Wilken. Nice to see him "back" at least for this game.
  15. And Rund makes the last two batters look silly with swinging Ks. Just no chance. Game, set match for TRats thanks to the key HR from "mini-Garcia" 😉
  16. Brock Wilken answered my calls. A rocket in Rocket City to left. 3-3 tie game!!
  17. I believe you. But here is what the Gameday gremlins have: 🤷‍♂️ Meanwhile Murray makes a good play and the Shuckers keep it a one run game Trash Pandas 3-2. Sounds like some uncertainty on how the 3rd run scored for Rocket City. But Shuckers still in it and need to get some bats going and some runs in
  18. Wait - I'm not watching, but Gameday has it as a HR by Eduardo Garcia.....
  19. What a deep deep sac fly for Navaretto. Knocks in another run. 9-4 Sounds!
  20. From the podcast above - for those who didn’t listen- although I would recommend it. Sounds like Adams and Hall should play a few games in the Cedar Rapids series. Pratt they may play on the weekend. Areinamo is likely ok - probably removed for rest and may get a day off (or 2) this week. Victor Estevez - who is a wonderful future manager - is managing with an eye toward winning the playoffs.
  21. I think the trick will be the dollar amount associated with each pick. A team may not willingly want to lose slot value with trades, so pick for pick may not work as well - except maybe rounds 3-10 where the pick by pick value has less variance. But I do like the idea but the $ will make it less likely that teams will do it a lot Trades for players exists but only competitive balance picks right now - so maybe allowing it for some trades but cap the picks you can trade (like 2-3 max) to make I easier to monitor.
  22. Wow. Just checked back in and the shuckers are way way behind. 10-0. Three 3run innings against.
  23. No offense in the single A affiliates today. TRats getting no hit thru almost 3, and already down 11-0😳 The Quad City team has really dominated this series this week. Carolina mustering 3 hits and 1 run but down 3-1 in the 5th.
  24. Yoswar will be an interesting player next year. He will be 23 in a month, and has play parts of 3 seasons in low A. He has speed but as a 23 year old next year he should need to be in AA at some point. After a hot first half with no promotion. He has cooled quite a bit the past 2-3 months He can still be a late bloomer and a serious OF prospect but next year will be critical.
