  1. All I can ask is that the team stops trading for relief pitchers at the deadline. 2021 - Curtiss and Norris. Oof. Lost a very good pitcher in the process, and received little value 2022 - Hader trade aside - which was US trading a RP. But Bush and Rosenthal. Big whiffs 2023 - Chafin. Adding no value 2024 - Mears, looking to be a little to no value and cost a couple of decent pitchers. Best relievers have been added via waiver or smaller trades (Megill, Payamps, Peguero, Hudson; and Feyereisen, Cousins, etc on the past). I would have to look back to see the last good reliever that was acquired at the trade deadline for this club. most trade deadline acquisitions have been duds since 2018 and 2019 (Pomeranz and Lyles were surprising upgrades), but relievers have been a major major miss. And in the process lost prospects like A. Kelly, R. Olson, Blalock/Herrera among others who would be good to have in the roster or for other trades. EDIT: for disclosure I made this post and then I saw this article pop up on my google page (probably because I had been searching for info on trade deadline brewers and relievers to research this post). But I did not see this before posting. No intent on plagiarizing the idea, as I just read it now - so this is more of a coincidence. article link : https://reviewingthebrew.com/posts/the-curse-of-the-milwaukee-brewers-trade-deadline-reliever-continues-01j5y52nj0pr
  2. And. Yup. Thanks for reminding us Jospeh. A bump in the playoff lead to 2 (or 2.5?) games up on MBraves. Not a 4-0 night, but I’ll take 3-1 with some nice outings by Shane Smith, Aaron Ashby, Elvis Peguero, and Enoli Paredes.
  3. A beautiful slider I think. Strike 3. Game. Set. Match they are now2-7 in 1-0 games this season. What an odd record. Lots a low low scoring games with these Shuckers.
  4. And the batter just misses. His fly to LF for out 2. 2 on. 2 out. Let’s go Yeager
  5. Yeager gets the first man to fly out to left center. That’s 1 down
  6. Nothing going for the Shukcers. And it sounds like it’s Yeager as no one warming up for Biloxi. 1-0. On to the bottom of the 9th.
  7. And Yeager keeps it scoreless in an eventful inning. Phew
  8. And Sparks scored EBJ. 1-0 Biloxi in the 8th
  9. And Peguero gets the last 3. And Wehrle ends the 9th. 2 wins in the book. 1 loss We Are looking at you biloxi. Let’s go Shuckers.
  10. Peguero on to try to close it. Lets go Sounds
  11. And it’s a laugher. Position player comes in to pitch. Misses two, and grooves one that Eduarqui crushes a grand slam. 14-1. Becoming a laugher. Biloxi still 0-0. Sounds still clinging 4-1.
  12. Tyler Black coming down swinging in his demotion. A triple and now a double extends the lead to 4-1. C’mon Tyler let’s go home run and single next please Shuckers scoreless. But Woessner in TRats keep adding now 10-1
  13. 11 pitches, 7 for strikes. Two strike out. In command of a curve and change I think. Yup FB hit 98, and sat most;y 97. if he is done then this is the 5th great outing for him in a row
  14. TRats keep scoring as a Lara double clears the bases. 9-1 Offense finally getting those hits with runner on scoring position tonight after struggling with that most of the week.
  15. Stepped away. And Muddies did not mount any more of a comeback. Final 6-3 Augusta. Shane Smith with solid innings. Still 0–0 TRtats looking to add more 6-1 Sounds still with a 3-1 lead
  16. t-Rats get another run 5-1. Muddies get one back 6-3. Biloxi still 0-0 And Sounds up as Joseph posted above.
  17. And a nice hit by Y. Garcia. Nice play by the 3rd baseman and the throw looked a hair late, but Garcia called out. He dove to first - which was his mistake I think, he’s a fast runner and I think it’s an easier call when you can hear the foot on the base prio to ball in the glove. Ugh. Glorious chance to really close the gap. 6-2 Augusta still on to the 7th.
  18. Muddies getting some runs back. Castillo and then Walling with HBPs with the bases loaded. 6-2 Walling coming out after taking the pitch on his hand/wrist. Looked uncomfortable- let’s hope it’s nothing serious.
  19. And Hedbert drives in 2 with a double. Man if he can become a prospect again after some lost seasons. its 4-1 TRats. One out and two on after a Vargas walk.
  20. Wowza. That’s a big deficit to overcome for the Mudcats. A tall order. But they can do it if the bleeding stops. T-Rats - yup in a tight one run game. Hasn’t it been this way the whole series?
  21. Nice job. Good pitch. Clean play by EBJ. And that’s a 4-0 night. Solid.
  22. Holub back out for the 9th. First pitch nice play O’Rae and it’s an out.
  23. Holub did his job. Looks great at AA. Now 9th inning. Time to get a few more insurance runs.
  24. On base all 5 times for young Dylan. Nice night. And exactly what a lead off hitter needs to do. And 3 SB. Wow !
