  1. Texas and Cleveland, maybe Boston, hang up on the Mets
  2. Just wait until Winter or this time next year. Don't do a bad trade.
  3. Luc, Guerra, and Jeffers for Gallo, Mendez, Tate, Guzman, Jurado, Deleon and Nicholas. Pitchers....Mendez, Tate and Jurado young tall and producing, two not named Tate at AA 1B Guzman power and average at AA 3B Gallo Ready to play at MLB level SS Deleon I just like him, holding his own at A+ C Nicholas old AAAA fill in with Maldy for a year or two, not a bad hitter.
  4. Just make the trade to the American League so Cleveland gets him or someone they play gets him. If Boston gets him, they would have no breaks in their line up and Cleveland would be having a catcher hit .100.
  5. That would be Dom Smith and one of the two short stops. Sorry!
  6. Mets: "I'll give you D Arnaud for Lucroy straight up." Extended pause of unbelief. Stearns: "I will give you Lucroy for D'Arnud.......and Dom Smith, Rosario, Cecchini, Molina, Gsellman, and Wotell." Another extended pause of unbelief. Stearns: "Now let's get real and settle somewhere in the middle."
  7. If that organization does not meet your asking price, then you move on to someone else or don't make a trade. No one the Brewers are shopping has to be traded.
  8. We are not in a position where we have to trade any of these three. If we don't get what we want, don't trade them. This time next year, they are in the same position with one less year of control. Two and a half years of control is still very attractive.
  9. When all else is equal, go with the left handed hitter. Zimmer by a nose. I really like Mejia and Diaz and would want them to be part of the deal.
  10. There are other teams that will trade for Smith. 3 1/2 years of control for a "next to closer" reliever is worth more than you seem to want to give.
  11. I would need more than just Mejia for Smith....maybe Crick or Santos
  12. I agree with you that the Brewers will want pitching for Lucroy and I agree with you that the Brewers will be looking at highly talented young players for Lucroy. However, I wouldn't do the above deal because I don't like Bobby Bradley. If I'm doing a deal with the Indians, Mejia is the guy I want. I would not substitute Mejia for Bradley, I would just add him to the list... Bradley 19 Aiken 19 Mckenzie 18 Mejia for Lucroy Smith
  13. Nice job! Now fix Phillips, Coulter, and Medeiros and get them promoted! Coulter needs to be "freed". Two full years playing in the Florida steam is too much. I am not sure about the other two.
  14. I don't know if I would trade just Smith for Hillman and Clevinger. HighHeat... you have the right ideas.
  15. Let me rephrase.... Smith by himself should get Mejia and Mckensie from the Indians. If the Indians want to give less...walk.
  16. I did not think my words were listened to that closely!
  17. Braun and Jeffers for Puig, Grant Holmes and Chris Anderson
  18. It is time to free Lucas Erceg from the northern mountains. Send him past Wisconsin to Florida and move Demuth to Biloxi. Erceg has nothing more to prove at Low A and Wisconsin is set with youngsters at 3B. This gives Gatewood a complete season at Wisconsin where he is doing good and challenges our other 3B prospects.
  19. Smith by himself should get at least Mejia and Mckensie from the Indians.
  20. Add Yandy Diaz and you got a deal. The Indians really need a lefty out of the pen, making Smith very intriguing for them. Smith by himself should get at least Mejia and Mckensie. That leaves Lucroy for Bradley, Sheffield and Diaz. That again sounds like a pretty fair deal.
  21. Add Yandy Diaz and you got a deal.
  22. The pitcher could turn out to be a "Fiers" type. That's better than our "experienced pitchers".
  23. I would want him if I had to play the Dodgers or the Nats!
  24. That is why volume (and hopefully quality with that volume) counts.
