  1. If we can make Kevin Slowey look like this, I cringe at how we are capable of making Scott Baker look. Baker's actually a pretty good pitcher.
  2. How about Idiyost letting a young reliever get blasted in the sixth inning? I mean, it's not like the bullpen got slaughtered yesterday.
  3. This is a fair point. In our defense, nothing of note has been happening in this game since the sixth inning, when the manager officially gave up.
  4. Hey, give that fan a bat. Maybe he'll know not to try to pull pitches that are off the outside corner.
  5. Now that he's out of the game, it probably doesn't matter. Fittingly, Dillon takes Hall's spot defensively, and does a Hall impersonation at the plate. Hey, B.A...you know who else put up huge numbers in the minors? Ben Hendrickson.
  6. My summer will be awesome, thankyouverymuch. My kid starts hockey camp on Tuesday. My pre-season football research has started. Got some great things happening at work. Later this summer, we start planning our New Years trip to Tampa. And at some point, the ~.500 Brewers will fire their idiot manager, and I'll throw a kegger. Either that, or the team will start winning in spite of him, ala the 2001 Diamondbacks. No matter what, I'm going to enjoy the next 100 days before hockey season starts up again for me. I'm glad you're concerned. But since I live in (well, near) Duluth, summer doesn't start until Lake Superior warms up a bit and stops affecting our weather so much. I'm not dumb enough to squash my summer before it even starts. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  7. I'm guessing that he'll light into the fans for booing him if he ever manages to post a week where he does more than one good thing.
  8. By the way, I have a message for Bill Hall. BOOOOOOOO http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gifhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gifhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif Thank you.
  9. In this case, looks aren't at all deceiving.
  10. The Hayes character was a way better centerfielder. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. Lookie there. A hitter who can adjust to the outside pitch.
  12. Hey, Prince, we're down by eight runs. I'm glad you can find it in you to crack some jokes and smile.
  13. Last I checked, the Brewers had pretty much failed to establish themselves as being better than either of these teams. Why would I think they can hang with them?
  14. At this point, we're probably better off if they keep winning. Schroeder, shut up. You don't know anything. It's not amazing Slowey is 2-6 because he sucks at pitching. That's what happens to pitchers who suck at pitching. What's amazing is that this team has let him walk through the order like it's straight out of the Frontier League.
  15. Just keep playing those corner infielders deep against Gomez. He'll keep bunting, and he'll beat every one of them out, but keep doing it. I mean, it's not like anyone in the American League ever gets him out.
  16. He was after the three-run hit, if that's what you're wondering about. Just think. The Twins have left as many on base as they've scored. It could be a lot worse.
  17. I'm there. I'm done with this manager, these coaches, and this (bleep) bunch of players. To see that idiot smirking in the dugout like I just did pretty much sets me off. If I could punch Yost in the chops right about now, I would. "The Brewers are in big trouble, down by six." - Bill Schroeder. Whatever we're paying him is just not enough. Such great insight.
  18. This is your mistake. The Brewers are no more of a contender than the sub-.500 team that's kicking the crap out of them tonight is.
  19. Actually, the quote was from Yost. That was a really bad idea to post. He's the last guy I should be crediting with a good thought about anything related to baseball. Since he said it, it's probably the most inaccurate thing Haudricourt has ever put in the newspaper.
  20. Nice defense, Hall. Good thing he's such a solid hitter.
  21. At least he didn't try to pull a pitch that was six inches outside, like the guy who batted after him did.
  22. Read the JS article about Branyan.
  23. I'd take a few hard-hit balls. Schroeder is an idiot.
  24. It's too bad we don't have coaches who can diagnose those problems, sheethead. They're too busy talking up the opponents.
  25. I have seen six of his starts this year. Not once have I ever thought he'd be capable of blowing through our lineup while allowing one hard-hit ball in five innings. I mean, if you want to keep making excuses for this garbage, that's fine. I'm not going to apologize for having higher expectations than to see my team embarrass themselves in the only games my friends bother to watch. Slowey now has as many hard-hit balls as he's allowed. "But he's pitched well before, so it's okay. And I'm sure he was a good hitter in Little League." - Ned Yost
