If the game is delayed again, Sheets is done. If the Brewers score, Sheets is done. But if they don't score, don't get any runners, and the game keeps going, I see no reason to pull him. Let him go until he's due up again.
Re: Chicago Never been there. I'd be lying through my teeth if I said I didn't want to go. That said, I've heard enough horror stories about sports fans there (especially Cubs, White Sox, and Bears) to make me cringe. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif The Extra Innings free preview is cool. I got my choice of a bunch of games, including Royals-Tigers in extra racks and the Nationals hanging a three-spot in the fifth in Philadelphia.
As dumb as it was to start the game in the first place, I didn't end up missing much of it when I went to the gym. Yay, me. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
Isn't Musberger doing it on ESPN? DirecTV has brilliantly blacked out my ESPN feed. It's okay, because I have an HD feed thanks to the fine folks at FSN Wisconsin.
Couldn't agree more. That said, I didn't hear many good things about Mr. Estrada as a clubhouse figure. And I doubt his behavior was simply a repeat from other places, because there's no way we trade for him then. I have to figure it only got worse in Milwaukee because he realized Ned is an idiot. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
Further proof that Ned just doesn't understand when it is okay to tinker with the lineup, and when it isn't. Hall has no business hitting against Maddux with how he's been the last week. I'm not a big Gabe Gross fan, but at least the previous poster has a point about him taking pitches and working the count. Oh, well. Three more games and hopefully the gaping hole we have in the dugout will be filled.
And this is where we differ. I cannot even force myself to believe that Ned brought McClung in to get Pujols out, because there were multiple options available at the start of the inning that would have been more effective for that. Even with how dense I think Ned is a lot of the time, I'm sure he understood that. There's no way Pujols is intentionally walked in that situation under normal circumstances. There was no need for it. Sure, you're careful with him, but you're pitching to him and trying to make an out. And the odds of getting an out are in your favor.
