  1. This is one of those things where tiers are probably more useful than rankings. Tier 1 Freeman and Olson Tier 2 Goldy, Diaz, Walker, Alonso, Alonso has had some historically bad luck on balls in play. Both BABIP and xWOBA minus WOBA bear this out.
  2. STOP WATCHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. It would not surprise me to find out that any of... a. Molina had a huge impact on getting the most out of pitchers b. Molina had a huge impact on getting the most out of fellow position players c. Molina accessed supernatural devil magic.
  4. With 35ish games left in the season, and Ober already at a career high in IP, I can see inning management as a thing. 108 IP in 2021 73 in 2022 131 in 2023 coming into tonight.
  5. aaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnyway, @wiguy94, what site has all the contact quality information for minor leaguers?
  6. I’m genuinely curious about average LA. Are all balls in play play averaged for average LA? That is, could someone hit three pop ups and and three grounders and have a great average launch angle?
  7. Just saw that the Cubs had a mound visit to settle the pitcher after 5 straight balls to start the fifth... 2 pitches later, the pitcher grooved one and Sheets took him deep for a 2-run bomb.
  8. Things for McKendry tonight are looking eerily similar to Houser last night... low pitch count, Sweet Rick left him in a batter or two too long.
  9. Good pitch recognition on his RBI walk. That's bound to be the start of his next heater.
  10. No, our problem is when they're on 2nd and 3rd.
  11. If only someone had complained about this sooner, maybe Canha and Santana would have started this kind of offense sooner.
  12. Congrats to Levering on getting the National broadcast. We are pretty lucky to keep having good broadcasters come through MKE. Gotta be a Uecker effect of some sort.
  13. I just checked the box score and saw that Chourio is sitting after just two AB tonight. Did anyone catch anything?
  14. It's not that I think Anderson is that much better than Adames, but I think giving Willy another day or two would be good. I'm hoping for Anderson, Turang, Monasterio, Santana.
  15. I think this answers the question about whether he gets sent down when Woody comes back.
  16. Monasterio on the bench?!?!? I will be eating my pizza and drinking my beer under duress!
  17. I still haven't seen numbers on the six college pitchers we signed. But if we assume they all signed for somewhere in the 150K range, and then add in the 5% overage we're allowed, thats where Spencer probably gets his $1M figure. 18. They only have six players who would lead our team in home runs.
  19. There’s an unfortunate oddity that I hadn’t thought of until now. If I was a college senior, it would be way better to go in round 11 than in round 10. In round 10, the team has lots of incentive to go as far under slot as possible. In round 11, the team can hand me $150k and not sweat it.
  20. Welp. He is in the lineup tonight in NASH. so that’s probably another day of him not replacing Winker.
  21. Yeah, he had really found his swing again.
  22. I wonder how much of that increase has to do with the fact that college kids can make money on NIL deals now.
  23. Anthony Rizzo. We could send Small or Lauer and ask the Yankees to throw in some cash.
  24. We owe him about 3.4M for the rest of the season. (roughly 41% of 8.25M)
