  1. Until further notice, this is an Andruw Monasterio fan account.
  2. I’m starting to wonder if grabbing a bunch of HS talent in the later rounds was insurance against one of the bigger names not signing. That is, if Pratt or Bitonti doesn’t sign, then they have a worthwhile place to invest 2MM
  3. Andruw Monastario currently has a higher wRC+ (111) than Elly De La Cruz (104). When Urias is up or Anderson is healthy, Monastario should DH. (Wish this was sarcasm)
  4. With four signed, we are $1.796M under slot. We have $5.23M plus the overage percentage that we can spend on the remainder of the top 11 picks. Round (Overall) Name HS/NCAA/CC Position Slot Value Signing Bonus 1 (18) Brock Wilken NCAA 3B $4,021,400 $3,150,000 CB-A (33) Josh Knoth HS RHP $2,543,800 $2,000,000 2 (54) Mike Boeve NCAA 1B/3B $1,546,100 3 (87) Eric Bitonti HS SS/3B $796,200 4 (119) Jason Woodward NCAA RHP $557,900 $247,500 5 (155) Ryan Birchard CC RHP $392,700 $322,500 6 (182) Cooper Pratt HS SS $309,900 7 (212) Tate Kuehner NCAA LHP $242,400 8 (242) Craig Yoho NCAA RHP $196,700 9 (272) Mark Manfredi NCAA LHP $176,700 10 (302) Morris Austin NCAA RHP $166,800 11 (332) Bishop Letson HS RHP 12 (362) Bjorn Johnson HS LHP 13 (392) Brett Wichrowski NCAA RHP 14 (422) Hayden Robinson HS RHP 15 (452) Josh Adamczewski HS SS 16 (482) Josh Timmerman NCAA RHP 17 (512) Jacob Gholston HS RHP Did not sign 18 (542) Dylan Watts CC RHP 19 (572) Isaac Morton HS RHP 20 (602) Justin Chambers HS LHP
  5. Jackson Chourio Lots of ink saying he's been fine tuning his approach. Mega second half in Biloxi, cup of coffee in Nashville, 2024 ROY. Jeferson QueroJacob MisiorowskiTyler BlackRobert Gasser Ranked highish because of his proximity to the big leagues... not many chances to wash out anymore. Sal Frelick Probably doesn't deserve to be this low, but its a testament to the ascension of some of the other youngsters. Abner Uribe I think he lights it up in MLB and helps this year's team hold enough leads to win the division. Josh Knoth High hopes for this draft pick.Carlos F Rodriguez If he was closer to the majors, I'd have him a bit higher. Cooper Pratt Sign him, preferably by yesterday. Yophery Rodriguez The next big helium guy. Luis Lara Candidate number 2 for next big heliumBrock WilkenDaniel Guilarte Get back to full health!!Eric Brown JrEric BitontiJustin JarvisMike BoeveFreddy ZamoraRobert Moore K% is down below 17%
  6. Don’t look now, but Chourio is heating up. He’s 3-4 tonight. He and Black just went back to back.
  7. Thanks for sharing. That’s what I meant by link. I figured something in the socials.
  8. I thought about this for a while the other night. I think a HS player and his agent probably agree on a number. If they don't get that number, they go to college. But, that college commit is 3 years before they are eligible for the draft again. So for a guy like Knoth, thats $2M now or three years to risk getting TJ or a torn labrum or something.
  9. Mostly stolen from Reviewing the Brew Round (Overall) Name Position Slot Value Signing Bonus 1 (18) Brock Wilken 3B $4,021,400 $3,150,000 CB-A (33) Josh Knoth RHP $2,543,800 $2,000,000 2 (54) Mike Boeve 1B/3B $1,546,100 3 (87) Eric Bitonti SS/3B $796,200 4 (119) Jason Woodward RHP $557,900 5 (155) Ryan Birchard RHP $392,700 $322,500 6 (182) Cooper Pratt SS $309,900 7 (212) Tate Kuehner LHP $242,400 8 (242) Craig Yoho RHP $196,700 9 (272) Mark Manfredi LHP $176,700 10 (302) Morris Austin RHP $166,800 11 (332) Bishop Letson RHP 12 (362) Bjorn Johnson LHP 13 (392) Brett Wichrowski RHP 14 (422) Hayden Robinson RHP 15 (452) Josh Adamczewski SS 16 (482) Josh Timmerman RHP 17 (512) Jacob Gholston RHP Did not sign 18 (542) Dylan Watts RHP 19 (572) Isaac Morton RHP 20 (602) Justin Chambers LHP
  10. 1, Comp, and 5 signed $1.485M under slot
  11. Comp pick and round five signed, Net slot: $614 K under
  12. I know that doesn’t add up to anywhere near 60 days on the IL, but it probably would help the team to get roster flexibility. Sucks for Rowdy though. My kids love him. I hope he heals up and finds his swing.
  13. 44K 7 hits 0 runs 27 innings against the Red hot offense.
  14. Do you mean his 91 professional innings in 2022 as his career high? Because I totally agree on that. They’re gonna have to skip some of his starts to keep him under 130 IP.
  15. We could get a bat at any or all of DH, 1B, and 2B. There’s so much room for improvement.
  16. Just two hits. That was a clinic.
  17. I didn’t expect to see that the Reds would get shut out in back to back games at any time after June 6. I’ll take it.
  18. Anybody have news on Gasser? 1 pitch 1 HBP, then out of the game.
  19. Almost all of it comes down to those regulars regressing upward toward their means. As far as moves are concerned... Frelick for Weimer - gain that extra year of control on Weimer. Let Owen Miller play first base more often. Let Caratini catch more and have Contreras DH more Otherwise, trade deadline.
  20. I wonder if the specter of a Soto trade is holding up Bell action… especially if the Nats are seeking high minors guys. if the Padres were leading with Campusano for Soto, the Nats might not be bullish on a Bell deal that led with someone like Feliciano or Quero.
