  1. Here's a link to a 2013 article that discusses the settlement. This seems like it should have been a bigger deal back then. https://web.archive.org/web/20201125213826/https://www.latimes.com/sports/la-xpm-2013-jun-13-la-sp-0614-dodgers-tv-20130614-story.html
  2. The Quote is from the LA Times Article. Is the TLDR version of this whole thing that the Dodgers are paying revenue sharing based on $3B of TV money over 25 years instead of $8.35B of TV money over 25 years?
  3. Big money will always protect big money. People with massive assets and huge tracts of land will always have the inside track on moving money, getting loans, earning interest, hiding money etc. The average person doesn't even know the regulatory rules that govern what you can and can't do with massive piles of money. They just operate under a different set of rules than 99% of people, and won't actually feel financial distress if their net worth has 9 zeroes instead of 10.
  4. I know not to hope for a Joey Ortiz start against a righty. But I’m going to anyway.
  5. It's weird how deadline day messes around with player value. We still have a 40 man roster crunch. Black for peanuts and cracker jack?
  6. This was a lot more fun when we were gonna trade JJ Abrams for Cameron Crowe.
  7. It's funny how the brain works. I've been following CJ Abrams all year. He's on my fantasy team. But as soon as I saw JJ Abrams, I could not recall CJ for the life of me and had to go look at my roster.
  8. When Skubal and Soriano got traded, arguably every other available pitcher would slot in as our fifth best option. We can debate whether we should/could have gotten one of those two, but once that ship sailed, "innings eater" is exactly what we need. Someone to keep Miz, Harry, Hendo, and Dro fresh for October.
  9. With Skubal and Soriano gone, I kind of hope we don’t make any trades. There aren’t really any upgrades out there, unless we go huge for someone with years of control remaining.
  10. I would have offered Pena and a couple guys outside our top 30. what they actually traded comps pretty well to Jett and a couple outside our top 30
  11. Man, MLB is just doing their level best to alienate me. This is some real PeaSkuCockBal.
  12. Id love that. But I don’t think we get to Monday night and have all four of Skubal, Made, Pena, and Henderson.
  13. If we get a SP, then Sproat to the pen and there’s nowhere for Yoho to play. if we trade Quero, Naylor fits. when lockridge is back, Perkins is down. feels like a setup for sending out Quero in a trade for a pitcher.
  14. Can't have RISP struggles without RISP. This missed RISP Silver Lining has been brought to you by West Bend Insurance Company. The best brings out our worst.
  15. As long as the one big inning is REALLY BIG, we'll find ourselves on the right side of these.
  16. Don't look now, but Durbin and Mona are helping punch the Dodgers.
  17. Trade deadline depending of course, but I wouldn't mind having Chourio sit a couple days and let Lockridge have a couple starts. Just let the kid do some cage work and live bullpens to start seeing it.
  18. Just checked fangraphs. He has a 3.51 ERA. Including pitchers with 70 or more innings, he would have the best ERA on 6 teams.
