  1. It did exist and I had some. It was okay. Pretty average. I've had better lemonade.
  2. I saw it last night and loved it. One of the funnest movies I've been to in a while. JJ Abrams did a good job. Especially with the casting. For the most part everybody was great. Chris Pine is going to be a huge star. Karl Urban did a good McCoy and Simon Pegg was perfect as Scotty.
  3. Pujols weighed something like 270-280 in high school. He's lost a lot of weight and works hard to keep it off. Although now that Manny was busted I supose nobody would surprise me. I always thought Manny was clean. This is pretty shocking. MLB can now say they will suspend anyone that uses PEDs and not just virtual unknowns. They just gave a guy who was pretty much a lock to go in the Hall of Fame on the first ballot a 50 game suspension. Now I don't see him getting in on the first ballot.
  4. He was right. He doesn't quite have it anymore. To continue would have just tarnished his in-ring legacy. Now starts the next phase of his boxing life. I think it's possible his contributions to boxing as a promoter via Golden Boy Productions could make more of a lasting impact on boxing and fighting than what he did in the ring.
  5. You can tell by the video Cameron was pretty shaken up.
  6. I saw this on the news ticker and was just shocked. I was looking forward to Adenhart's promising career. He seemed to have a good feel for pitching. Drunk driving kills thousands of people every year. Our state is among the worst for this.
  7. Fire Pro Wrestling was awesome. All of them are great games. Now WWE is saying the Tag Title match won't be aired on the Wrestlemania broadcast It's going to be recorded as a DVD exclusive. Boo. Way to take one of the best potential matches away from the PPV buyers. I agree that Morrison is a future star. He's the guy I'd like to see end Undertakers streak next year. He plays his self absorbed primadonna character perfectly and he's very good in the ring and on the mic.
  8. I can't see them having HBK winning and ending the streak. That's a feat they should save for a younger up and coming main eventer to give him a push. I'm not sure who that would be though. Orton vs HHH could go either way. If they are going to continue this feud then Orton needs to win here. Cena v Edge v Show is kind of a blah match. I just can't care about it. Too much soap opera. I wish they would have kept it about the title. The MiTB match is always entertaining. Not sure why Mark Henry's in there. I don't think there's anybody that believes he can win. I think MVP wins it. I don't see Vince giving this to Christian so soon after his return even though of all the participants he's the most main event ready. I think the match of the night will either be the MiTB or Taker v HBK, with Colons v Miz/Morrison a dark horse for match of the night if they are given enough time.
  9. While I would like to see this prediction come true I just don't see it happening. The competition is too fierce. In order to win the Cy Young he would have to pitch on the level of guys like Hamels, Peavy, Oswalt, Lincecum, Webb, and Santana. Actually, because he pitches for Milwaukee he'd probably have to outpitch all those guys to win it.
  10. I'm guessing some of this is posturing on Boras' part. He'll probably "settle" for $11-13 mil which would still be a record contract. Of course, if any owner can afford to pay $50 mil to a draftee it's Ted Lerner. The guy is the richest owner in baseball and wants to see his team win.
  11. I usually try to sit as close to the aisle as possible. Davego is right about sitting inside the bases. If you sit along the left or right field foul line your neck is going to hurt. Straight out in the outfield is okay but I like to be closer to home plate. Don't expect too much as far as amenities. The Metrodome is ugly and utilitarian. However, it gets the job done and going to Twins games can still be a very fun time. Every Twins fan I know can't wait for the new stadium. A few who get season tickets are literally counting down the days.
  12. Whomever they get will have to learn to mesh with Uecker and learn to play the role of the straight man. Powell was perfect doing this. I never saw Powell as the #2 guy here. Uecker and Powell seemed to do an equal sharing of air time so there really didn't seem to be a #1 and #2 guy. I kind of wonder how much this site owes to Powell mentioning it over the air. How good is Kyle Peterson at doing play by play? If he's pretty good it would be nice to see him get the job. Would any of our minor league broadcastors be good choices?
  13. The Braves are getting the best in the business to replace Skip. Congrats Braves and the state of Georgia. You guys are getting a heck of a broadcaster. Congrats to Jim too. This has to be his dream job. But you will be missed. A lot.
  14. Wow! That's almost too much info to digest in one sitting. I was already impressed by what Forman had already done. Now he goes and improves the already wonderful baseball-reference. The new design looks great!

  16. If Mike's velocity and command can come back even part of the way he could have a shot to make the bigs as a reliever of some sort.
  17. I sure hope he stays. When listening you can tell he's having a lot of fun calling the games. Even the bad games. Plus his play by play is fantastic. Please don't leave us Jim.
  18. Someone had to win it. I would have went with Youkilis but nobody in the AL stood out this year.
  19. This is too bad. I enjoy watching Neshek pitch. He's been out awhile and now he'll be out for a lot longer.
  20. Great trade for the Nats. It could be a steal.
  21. Congrats to Jack. Sad to see him go but he deserves a shot at being a GM.
  22. I'm with Alltell and I am very happy with the service. I have yet to get a dropped call. Their service area is great.
