  1. I couldn't tell by the explanation by the rules expert, but is the ball considered part of the body in this situation or was he touched before the ball?
  2. It might be difficult to figure out, but that list seems to be pitcher wins in a row without recording a personal loss, so leaving as not the pitcher of record and the team losing wouldn't count against you. "Clemens needed a little luck along the way, escaping with a no-decision in seven different starts" The streak priester is on feels a little more special because even if he doesn't get credit for the win, the team still does win. Using the article as a springboard, looks like it might be Arrietta with 23 followed by Hubbell with 22 if you don't include a game he pitched the final 5 frames or 23 if you do include it. Since Quinn has had a couple where he came in the 4th inning, I'd say count it, but its still getting pretty close unless there was another who just wasn't lucky at picking up the wins. Btw, I believe 3rd on the list was 15 so he's passed that.
  3. Anyone have an idea what the record is for win streak for a starter? I'd imagine someone like Gagne might be it overall since I think he holds the record for consecutive saves.
  4. Looks like Carter is destined to have some company before the game ends.
  5. Can it just be payamps?
  6. Logically all that would happen is the previous 2 days starters would be the inactives.
  7. Outside of our 7 run outburst in game 1, this series has been exactly what you would expect with the top team from each league playing each other. Lots of good pitching and 2 seemingly even matched teams playing close. Glad we have come out on top and shown we are indeed the better team.
  8. Alabama always brings some joy to my heart. Extra special when it's an unranked team. Though it probably drops them to like 10th and propels Florida st to like 20th.
  9. That's how I read it now that you mentioned it. I guess it would depend on the actual wording vs media wording(example they probably said Patrick was optioned when he was the 27th). But based on my understanding he is on the major league IL and has to be active to the major league roster and then optioned to the minors. Seems silly unless they had no intention of bring him up in the next 15 days anyway unless there is an injury.
  10. I only listened to a few minutes, but it was giving off a lot of he didn't break up with us we broke up with him vibes.
  11. Not sure. I guess the brace just made me assume. Either way not good.
  12. Another year and another qb injury. Non contact on a knee that already has a brace does not seem like it will end well.
  13. Jones is looking like a pretty good RB. No idea where he came from. And as a whole I'm already liking things better than last year.
  14. I'm assuming it's the next 2 firsts. That's a good deal. I'm gonna miss Clark, but you can not pass up on a talent like that. Plus I'm assuming Clark was less of a fit for our defense
  15. We couldn't get Micah parsons so had to settle for Micah Packers? I'm legit stunned. Waiting to hear on what we sent out, but still wow.
  16. I was wondering who would be able to be a long man in the pen tonight if needed, good or bad, and excuse me while I put my injury tin foil hat on. Now I know not all injuries like this are fake, but Andersons ankle tendinitis feels a little too convenient.
  17. The one good thing about not having an off day is being able to flush the day before and getting another shot to win a game.
  18. I finally decided to check out the rest of the cubs schedule, knowing it was weak, but wow, it's like they could open a bakery with how many cupcakes there are. The one silver lining is that with how the cubs have looked over the past month or 2 it won't be as easy as it looks for them.
  19. Well you see Monday was the makeup game from the last series so it doesn't count towards this series.
  20. A win today put this series at what I had as acceptable before it started. It's just a bummer having lost 3 in a row and the possibility of today. I brewieve in priester!
  21. The one other option is have another injury and go back on the IL. With 12 days till rosters expand I know the Brewers would prefer he stays on rehab. If he "has" to come up, I'm guessing mono goes down due to more flexibility from siegler.
  22. Just change title to the reality thread.
