    Could be a difference between the 2. Past two Mondays I've watched the Monday night games in the YouTube multiview and was getting one of the games to show a replay of a score I hadn't seen live on the other channel yet. Was pretty annoying.

    That's it for me as well. I didn't see a replay of the mound, but I can only assume he was slow to react. And he compounded it my making a bad line to the bag ending up few feet to the home base side and then after he had the ball, missed the bag and got his foot caught on the ground. Just an all around abysmal play by him.

    I think you're reading too much into it. All "a 1 possession game" means is that the game can be tied or a lead change hands in 1 possession. Furthering your logic, a 7 point lead isn't a 1 possession game isn't because what if they only kick a fg or a 3 point lead isn't because what if they don't score at all.

    Mlb has to be sighing in relief that they dropped the game 163 method. Imagine one of the Mets or braves having to play a double header today, a game Tuesday and a game Wednesday just to break the 3 way tie to see who makes the playoffs.

    If that was the int to the endzone you are referring to, that was sadly a first and 10. You might have mixed up the 4th down play to Wicks where he was interfered with and didn't get the call on the 4th and 8.

    I'm unsure if the onside change you guys are talking about is an actual proposal that has been put forward or more you guys spitballing, but I would like something like that. Are you saying like a 2 pt from X yard line where if it's converted you get the ball? Where would you start on offense if you converted? I'm thinking something like put the yard to gain at the 50 and then you start in your own territory however many yards and if it's converted you start first and 10 where you end up. I figure the 50 is close to where you would get the ball on a successful onside anyway. My one concern is a defensive penalty that would come with an automatic first down does that count. For instance if it's 25 yards you need and a defensive holding penalty is called, does the "kicking" get the ball first and 10 at their 30 or is that too harsh and its now an attempt the 30 like an offsides would be.

    I'm rooting for the reverse. Baring some sort of weird collusion, both teams should want to go all out to win game 1 and the winner will probably punt on game 2 whereas the loser should need to still go all out for game 2. Since a split gets us the Mets, I'm hoping they have to throw everything at the wall to try to win both games.

    I think the confusion comes from the announcer saying it was 5 after the kraft fumble. He was really confused himself because he kept talking about the muffed put saying something like "they have it marked as a turnover now but that one ref called it a td." Makes me glad I wasn't paying attention to them most of the game.

    Honestly I can see them doing it if Hoskins opts out. If he doesn't then I don't see it.

    My understanding is they would play the games if it could effect seeding. Potentially worst case scenario would be braves and Mets win and dbacks lose which would eliminate them. In this scenario the Mets likely just don't try on Monday, lose game 1 and game 2 doesn't get played as all seeding is locked in at that point. I don't see them trying for the sweep, wearing out their players, just for the chance to move up 1 seed. Though we still face a Mets team we've dominated this year.
