  1. If a receivers gives himself up, the play should be blown dead, regardless of if he's touched. Yah, this is by definition how it is. The DB is still stupid for touching him...you should just hope the refs let it go. That being said I think it is highly unlikely the refs would allow 2 seconds to burn off and call the game in that situation. They likely would correct it and add the time back on. Who knows though...the DB made it really easy. I would have to rewatch it to be sure but I feel like the refs were starting to blow it dead when the db went over to touch him.
  2. I had Watson and fairbairn. That td and extra point part 2 gave me a .14 point lead. My opponent has lutz I am so mad at that "defense" Houston played, especially that last play.
  3. The Falcons looked bad. Real bad.
  4. Might be the jets game they won 9-0 in 2010.
  5. I'll call that last drive a success. It flipped the field and lasted enough time to get the defense a breather.
  6. I get it rodgers was just trying for the same thing as last year, just this time only 1 quarter and only 3 point spot.
  7. Yep, rusty as all get out. Coulda seen it coming a mile away, unfortunately. When did the tradition start to no play any starters in the last preseason game? Because it is stupid. I blame the roster rules. Seems like back in the late 90's and early 2000s, when they were cutting to 70 and 60 periodically (yes, i realize those aren't the exact numbers), there wasn't the obsession with getting reps to all of these street free agents in the preseason. When the preseason became more about trying to figure out who was the 50 through 53 men on the roster and less about preparation for games that mattered, the whole culture changed for the worse. I think this is exactly correct.
  8. Next year let's try some reps in the preseason. Might not help, but it would be nice to rule it out.
  9. Jeez. Is kirby jinxed?
  10. Any thoughts on Bolton? Hope to put him on the PS when healthy?
  11. The final drive if the first half was pretty ugly. Got lucky(or just that taylor is so good) to get the td.
  12. Saw Carolina is gonna put ganno on IR. Without knowing anything about their backup I wonder if they are a trade candidate for the kicker we don't keep.
  13. I didnt see a replay and the article didnt answer it clearly enough for me, but did Torres never stop, or break for home when he saw muncy go to the ground or when he started pretending hes a soccer player?
  14. Without trying to delve into the politics, is this legal? What happens if some players says screw it you cant tell me what to do and goes home to play?

  17. The only issue I could see with that is let's say you score 10 in the first, now your pitcher doesn't get the normal breaks of when your team is batting. A lot of stress on arms. And it's still an issue with less severe examples too.
  18. Maybe yelich should have stayed on the bench. That was kinda ugly.
  19. In my opinion, they collapsed because they couldn't sweep the cards. Add in the fact that they couldnt beat us or the Rockies at home probably adds more fuel to the fire.
  20. Fouled a ball off his knee. He stayed in, and on his fly out to center he had an adventure to first that included stumbling and lots of hobbling.
  21. Goes through the NL first, good chance that one of the 8 teams below the Brewers claim him but not impossible. I saw on trade rumors the league no longer matters and it's pure record now, except for ties.
