  1. Plexiglass all the way around, hockey style.
  2. The fact that they allowed him to move a couple thousand miles to a place where I can't believe he would be getting anywhere near as good of medical treatment seems at least not discouraging. Or, the writing's on the wall.
  3. The game vs the Cubs where ball 4 to walk in the winning run was right down the middle. Maybe this is the Cubs game so many are talking about. I don't remember when it was.
  4. Glad I forced myself not to watch this last night. Even better that MLB App stopped working mid game and I had no clue what was going on. Really looking forward to the Cardinals winning the final Wild Card when we finish the season there. Will be a fitting end.
  5. Arcia has the same crap approach that most of the regular lineup has. Get someone in there who will take pitches and put the ball in play sometimes.
  6. Reading through made me realize I remember nothing about the 2011 NLCS. I remember the divisional series watching Nyjer walkoff to win it but I don't remember anything about a single game from the NLCS.
  7. Turned off the game after that debacle of a 9th inning knowing there was no way they were going to win and just wanted to read about it in the morning. Was on my phone and forgot the MLB App would keep me up to date. Good thing my wife was sleeping next to me and I wasn't watching it because I have no idea how I would have reacted to actually watching Bryant hit that homer. You can blame Drake for giving up the runs, or Walker for screwing up the ground ball, or Counsell for how he managed the bullpen but this whole second half has been on the offense. Just pathetic approaches. I have never seen a whole team crap their pants anytime they come up with runners on like the Brewers do. You can say fire Coles all you want but this on the players. I can guarantee Coles isn't telling them to swing at anything with runners on base.
  8. Perfect spot for our offense's patented back to back K's.
  9. Every part of that is completely wrong. Replacing your everyday 1B with a part time 1B really makes no sense especially after Walker has botched some simple plays at 1B already as a Brewer.
  10. Was Thames going to make JJ run faster to 1B for the cover? No. He would have stayed home because the 1B had no business going after a ball that was just to the left of the second baseman.
  11. That run is on Counsell for overthinking it. Thames may not be a gold glover but he's the best defensive 1B we've got. Putting Walker there is just stupid.
  12. Ya. I don't understand why Walker moved to 1B. He's made a few mistakes there already since he's been here.
  13. Take 2 fastballs over the plate and swing at crap in the dirt. Great pitch selection Villar.
  14. Jeez, that infield was more than in. Pretty much any ground ball not hit right at them was getting through.
  15. Did Strop just say to the umpire, "Help me out." Ya, cause that's going to work.
  16. Did you actually find that because I'm pretty sure you can change pitchers whenever you want, except the pitcher has to finish a PA before you can do so.
  17. Pretty sure you can only ph due to an injury once an AB starts. Pretty sure you can pinch hit whenever you want.
  18. I honestly don't see any way we win the division so beating the Cubs specifically doesn't matter all that much to me. As long as the Rockies get swept I will be somewhat tolerable of the results of this series. Don't look but the Cards aren't all that far behind us either right now.
  19. This is the Brewers second half. Get guys on and then K, K, K. I generally hate the pressing excuse as to why guys aren't driving runners in but it's pretty obvious Braun, Shaw, and to a lesser extent Santana are. Both Braun and Shaw go up there swinging at anything close to the plate nowadays, very out of character.
  20. You mean like the last two days? I mean like all the way back to when we dropped out of first. The Cubs go into a funk and instead of gaining ground we get swept by the freaking Reds. Up until the last 10 days or so the Cubs have given us every opportunity to take an extra game here or there but we fall flat on our face. We don't get beaten by a better team, we choke away chances until we lose. How many were left on base tonight? 8 maybe? Just embarrassing how bad this offense is when they need to be.
