    Considering Harold is just about the dumbest "baseball guy" there is, Craig is probably doing the right thing. When your offense is beyond pathetic, is running out the same guys day after day the "smart" thing to do?

    Stealing 3B with a lefty up is pretty easy these days because the 3B plays so far off the base with the shift.

    Not really an issue with the expanded rosters. When Sogard is up and they bring in the lefty, Aguilar pinch hits and then Villar goes in for Villar or Aguilar goes to 1b and Walker goes to 2b.

    I just hope Mike Trout and the Angels come to Miller Park in 2019. If so I'm going to as many of those as I can. My kid is disappointed that Cleveland is playing a Tues/Wed in May, he's a high school Baseball player so won't be able to go and would love to see the Indians. Oh well... I kidded with him "don't worry we'll go see the Reds for the 20th time in your life later that summer." He didn't think that was so funny. I'm a baseball coach. If a father came up to me and said I want to take my son to a pro baseball game so that he can see Mike Trout live. I would tell them thank you for doing so and I'll set up some individual practice time with him to work on some skills we did during the practice he missed. Can't replace those memories and what he will learn from going to see something like that. I wish there were more coaches with that attitude. The two head coaches I've coached under take it like a personal offense if a kid misses practice to go to a Brewer game.

    Does the hat change from game to game? I found that they do give a hat away for sitting in that section but I can't find a picture of it anywhere.

    Everyone was excited when they saw the Rockies had to play the Dodgers. I wasn't. The Dodgers have just about nothing to play for and it's showing by losing 11 in a row.

    He had like 2 months off this year already and threw basically a slightly longer side session in his last start. He'll be fine.

    Which makes his OPS such an overrated joke of an argument. Who cares that his slugging percentage is so high when his 29 home runs are almost all solo shots? Just turned on the game and read through the thread. I assumed the bolded comment was in jest until I read the follow ups. Looks like Briggs opened a second account.

    Vikings new stadium had issues similar to what you are mentioning. Wrigley had chunks of concrete falling on the concourse.

    Yes, although looking at the weather forecasts you can play percentages where they look good. For example, in Baltimore there looks like there might be rain Friday but gone by the evening and then clear through the weekend so the likelihood of getting a 3 game series in seems high. I was thinking a domed stadium would basically be a requirement but Tampa Bay just played their home games at Citi Field. Maybe no dome stadium was available though.

    Are the Pirates a bad enough team that they sweep us or a good enough team that we sweep them? Those are the only two outcomes for this series.

    Scooter had a habit of forgetting to touch 2nd base on double plays. That's pretty embarrassing.
