  1. That's why you pinch run for Vogt. That was close even with noodle arm. Bandy or Susac probably get him out.
  2. You don't get extra credit for beating good teams. I wouldn't care if they had to beat a little league team or retirement home softball team, just win the damn games.
  3. Quintana isn't driving in runs in place of Braun, Shaw, and Santana strikeouts so he probably doesn't make a big difference this year. Glad we didn't give up what the Sox wanted to get him.
  4. I told my Brewer fan friends the Cards will sweep us to end the season and win the wild card. They all agreed.
  5. Way over their head? Bandy and Susac both have spent plenty of time in the bigs and considering Vogt turns every single into a double I don't see what you have to lose.
  6. When you have batters that can make contact other than homeruns, you get those.
  7. The last 3 outs were also the 2, 3, and 4 spot. Total Brewers move there.
  8. Cubs almost completely Brewer'd their way out of an inning. Bases loaded and no outs, batter reaches on catchers interference to score a run then they go K, K, and ground out.
  9. Even when we score runs we still can't score runs.
  10. It wouldn't shock me if he yanked that throw on purpose. Seriously? I just ... can't. Are you actually just trolling this board? He has been for a couple years now.
  11. Cardinals lost and Rockies losing.
  12. I would guess there's nothing a training staff can do to prevent injuries in football.
  13. No, but that's why I said you deal with the logjam later. Braun, Santana, and Martinez could have easily rotated through the corner spots. Or Santana could have been traded to upgrade somewhere else. Mainly though, I don't think anyone could have predicted Braun to stay healthy the whole second half of the season.
  14. That's a good point. Most tag plays you could scrutinize for 15 minutes and still not come to a 100% conclusion.
  15. Since we can't keep them out, might as well soak them for all they have. Double the regular price of every ticket for Cubs series.
  16. I made one random post somewhere that JD Martinez is a guy they should be looking at and not worry about the OF logjam. Who knows if he would have hit like Barry Bonds with us but after seeing what it took to get him (almost nothing) he certainly would have helped us without hurting the future. Those 27 HR and 1.000+ OPS probably would have put us in the playoffs.
  17. This, to me, is just the most obvious way to do replay in all sports. Giving teams a limited amount of challenges means any mistakes after those challenges are gone go uncorrected which defeats the whole purpose of having replay.
  18. I'd say the problem is that fellow umps are reviewing the plays and they are less likely to change calls to protect each other. The plays in question rarely require any sort of in depth knowledge of the rules of baseball to get right so MLB should hire their own non-umpire people to review the plays with an umpire in the room to help with any weird rules issues.
  19. A few years ago didn't the Packers block people from Washington zip codes from buying tickets to a playoff game against the Seahawks? Maybe that was someone else or maybe that was just a rumor.
  20. Already had this thread about a month ago.
