  1. It's nice to see other teams do simple things stupidly after watching the Brewers do it the last 4 or 5 years.
  2. I have no idea on the value but the shipping wouldn't be terrible. I doubt they'd fit in a flat rate box but they would almost certainly fit in a padded flat rate envelope which costs the same as a flat rate box to ship. I was at a rummage sale last weekend that had a row of 3 seats from County Stadium. The tag said $150 and I overheard them saying that they sold but I don't know if it went for the tag price or not.
  3. Has anyone ever complained before? I can't remember any. I remember Matheny complaining about the ribbon boards while they were batting but that's it. And if the Cardinals haven't said anything, then you know Freddy is the only one who feels this way.
  4. I don't understand how this team can hang with the best teams (played well against Cubs & Cardinals) and then look like complete crap against one of the few teams in the league that is clearly worse than us. Just seems like it's been that way for quite a few years.
  5. I thought players could only be tested 3 times a year unless they'd previously failed a test.
  6. All those people who become who become experts on every player in D1 college football during the NFL draft. Yes I'm sure you, average joe, have an excellent scouting report of the starting free safety from Louisiana Tech and how he will fit in with the defensive scheme of your favorite NFL team.
  7. Is that the one with Kevin Millar? If so, that fits in perfectly with ESPN's programming and target demographic.
  8. I actually just said they might as well let everyone go that doesn't cover NFL, that's all they cover anyway. That was my thought. ESPN is basically NFL Network 2.
  9. Typically afternoon games are the only chance I get to sit down watch a Brewer game and they play like crap. So of course I'm not able to watch today.
  10. If WAR takes position into consider, I would believe that. 1.000+ OPS for a catcher (anyone really) is pretty good.
  11. Where exactly would Haniger fit if he was still with Milwaukee? Outfield is pretty packed throughout the organization.
  12. Anderson finished 2015 pretty solid too. He's a #3, borderline #2 at his best, he just needs to figure out how to be more consistent. Honestly, he has to have the most trade value of anyone in the rotation right now.
  13. Peterson only does one thing well and that's run the ball. And last year he wasn't even good at that. Maybe he's got some more in the tank but he looked totally done last year.
  14. That didn't seem like a real friendly slap by Perez toward Suarez.
  15. I'm sure the Pirates have their own 4A OF options they could use to replace Marte. No reason for them to give up anything to get things they already have.
  16. The intentional walk change has made no difference for better or worse but the bottom of the strikezone seems to be a totally inconsistently called.
  17. Typical Brewers. We give you a slight glimmer of hope and then fall flat on our face.
  18. If Thames wasn't playing like a HOF'er right now Aguilar probably gets more than 2 AB's a week. He was getting somewhat regular playing time until April 11 and had a .955 OPS at that point. He's 0 for since then in his sporadic at bats.
  19. Damn ricky it was a good pitch. Carp is a worthless POS that had ONE great year and has been coasting since. Can't lay off crap, can't field and can't run bases so he takes it out on the little ump. It's infuriating. I hate defending Cardinals by Carpenter has been pretty great. Career OPS+ of 129 and consistently been 130 or higher and 3 or 4 WAR every year. His dWAR looks average to below average but his bat is top notch.
  20. That's pretty much been this team the last 4 years or so.
  21. Looks like Carpenter bumped the ump ever so slightly. But since he's a Cardinal he'll probably get a bonus check from the league for being able to restrain himself from spitting on the ump after such an egregious call. The ump will be fired and hung at dawn.
  22. Gameday had both pitches as strikes and strike 3 as not even close to a ball.
