  1. It was one game. It means nothing.
  2. I have a friend that works there and I've golfed there using his pass so we couldn't take a caddy. From what I've heard him say about the caddies it's a mixed bag. There are old guys who know a lot about the game and younger (probably not teenager) guys who know a little less. They all have a pretty good knowledge of the course though I believe.
  3. Milton Bradley continued to get Major League playing time despite wearing out his welcome with his attitude and lack of success. Riggleman will be fine and get another job within two years, I guarantee it.
  4. I thought the idea was terrible but the trailer sold me on it. It looks good and Andy from Parks and Rec playing Scott Hatteberg will make it an all time classic.
  5. I can't see any team jumping on him now. He'll pass through waivers no problem.
  6. Vanderbilt seems to pull off yellow tops fine. http://photos.northofboston.com/Newspapers/The-Eagle-Tribune/March-2010-ET/100316ETSPTMikeYaz2/812714350_sdnLX-L.jpg I actually think it looks pretty terrible with yellow pants. Yellow pants is just a terrible idea. http://sitemason.vanderbilt.edu/files/eKOtgs/CAD750EDE8C584C454E0F99C85562B32.jpg/main.jpg
  7. I feel the Brewers have needed a 3rd color jersey for a while. I don't consider the retro ones to be a third jersey. I thought the yellow ones looked good when the All Star game was in Milwaukee and wished they would have used it. I hope they go with these yellow ones in the future. I think black would look good too but it is too close to the navy. To be honest, I can't see any problem with yellow with white pants. Every home team wears white pants with whatever color top they wear. http://media.lawrence.com/img/photos/2002/07/09/sportsAllStarHomeRunDerbyBi_t440.jpg?9e2a24ba44807f8f9b96aad7c4082bf6ded075dc
  8. Seeing the Brewers in those sharp looking mustard uni's got me reminiscing about those "Turn Ahead the Clock" jersey's. Here is an interesting article about the first Turn Ahead the Clock game between the Royal and Mariners that happened the year before the whole league did it and the story behind it. For those of you who are fans of the ridiculous and absurd you will love it. If you are a baseball traditionalist, you probably won't. Enjoy. http://sports.espn.go.com.../story?page=lukas/080718 http://a.espncdn.com/photo/2008/0718/pg2_royals_200.jpg http://a.espncdn.com/photo/2008/0718/pg2_griffey_200.jpg
  9. Brian Sabean called the hit malicious and hopes that Cousins never plays again. Cousins is even receiving death threats. Overreact much?
  10. I haven't watch enough games this year to have an opinion of how he manages a game but based on the lineups he's put out he's your typical stuck in tradition manager. If he has been pulling for Kotsay and Nieves to still having a roster spot he might be the worst Brewers manager in my lifetime.
  11. The fact that Todd Greene is alive means the rules are fine. If anyone can survive what he did, nothing needs to be changed.
  12. Just saw the Posey play. That was one of the weakest collisions I've ever seen. The reason he got hurt was because he was on his knees instead of on his feet. If he's on his feet he just gets knocked onto his back but instead his knees get bent underneath him. I don't think I've ever seen a catcher block the plate that way and this is probably why. All blame goes on Posey for this.
  13. I have no idea how this promotion was even suppose to work. Did the Brewers send out a bunch of people to put stuff in people's lawns and then have people try to find it? If that's the case forgetting about hoarding what about trespassing.
  14. "Leslie, you've known me for a long time. You know I prefer wreath-layings over torch-lightings."
  15. Anyone else catch Joe West antics last night? After Angel Hernandez tossed Terry Francona Joe decided the game didn't have enough West so he inserted himself into the situation and consistently grabbed and bumped Francona. Terry will probably get a suspension and nothing for West. What a terrible umpire.
  16. Not the first time it has happened. I believe in a past interview Creed said he only used the ladies room. I liked that Micheal "tripled up" with Gabe, Meredith and Creed. I was discussing the episode with a friend and I thought there were some important people they left out. David Wallace, the security guard (can't remember his name), Tod Packer, Kathy Bates character and Jan. Maybe these will be in deleted scenes but these are some important people to the series that Michael should have said goodbye to.
  17. Gotta be honest. Had to fight back the tears a little.
  18. Not worth the risk. The only guy who consistently does it now is Yadier.
  19. Kyle Davies is perhaps the worst pitcher in baseball history. http://www.royalsauthority.com/?p=3925
  20. This really isn't true, every baseball league my kids have been a part of has grown every year. In my area that is far from true. I coach high school baseball and it's like pulling teeth trying to get kids to play in the summer. I would guess that only 50% of the kids that go out are doing it because they want to play baseball - they just prefer it over track. And of those guys only a handful really love to play.
  21. Kids are playing less baseball everywhere. It's just not that popular anymore.
  22. I thought you could not throw to an unoccupied base?
  23. Who really cares? Good players are good players and race, ethnicity, color, etc. should be irrelevant.
  24. Love the deal but it will definitely hurt later. At the end of that contract when Braun can barely move at whatever position he's playing, putting up mediocre numbers and starting just because of the contract we'll look at it differently. I think it's great a guy wants to spend his whole career here but at the end he will be Cal Ripken, Jr. hanging around a huge shell of his former self but being paid like a superstar.
