  1. I was going to make this same thread but call it "Fausto Carmona...if that is you're real name"
  2. So with the Yankees not signing their Japanese player and it not looking good for the Brewers, what effect do you think this will have on future Japanese players. Obviously the Darvish's of Japan will still try to come here but what if even he doesn't sign? Who does that say more about, the Japanese players or the American teams?
  3. Boras...I mean Prince will take the biggest contract regardless of position. He can talk all he wants about wanting to play 1st but when/if the Yankees offer him the $200 million to mostly DH he's going to take it
  4. I'd be more worried about Hamilton's inability to stay healthy. If given the choice between Hamilton and Prince, money being the same or similar, I'm going to take Prince. Prince will give you 160 games, Hamilton might give you 130.
  5. de la Rosa was given up on by 4 organizations before he found success. You can't blame the Brewers for the one.
  6. He didn't play last year. He shouldn't get a raise. You can argue for however much he should be paid but he should not get a raise.
  7. Isn't Gamel "just a prospect" and "far from a sure thing to succeed" as well?
  8. The monster heel thing has been done time and time again. A fat, dancing, monster who gives running commentary during his own match and yells "my bad" after hitting his finisher is something new and more interesting.
  9. I don't think he will play a traditional heel. He won't just beat up on the faces, he'll beat up the heels too but the fans will just hate him.
  10. JaDerHeyski mentioned this at breakfast this morning. First, Pujols was a Cardinal. Now he's an Angel. How long before he's a Padre? Hopefully he winds up a Saint (St. Paul that is).http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/2d/Pope-peter_pprubens.jpg/220px-Pope-peter_pprubens.jpg
  11. Why does everyone specifically ask about power on the bench? How about a guy that gets on base. That seems more important to me.
  12. Maybe this will prevent future teams from accepting bids from the Yankees. Probably not, but maybe.
  13. You package Wolf with Gamel to someone and trade K-Rod getting a 4 or 5ish starter in one of those deals and that pretty much does it and really doesn't make any holes.
  14. Really all this is going to do is drive more news seeking traffic to social media. I can't remember the last breaking news story I got from a news website. I either get a text from someone or see it on Facebook.
  15. I'm not against the Stephanie idea but it really doesn't make sense. If she wanted to have a lackey or something to do her bidding why not her husband Triple H? He's got a beef with Punk and Johnny Ace.
  16. As Brewerfan.net's biggest Chris Jericho fan I was really hoping that the videos weren't for Chris. I love the guy but it's the same bit he's done twice already. However, he knows how to make an entrance. His return was one of, if not, the biggest pop since Rock's return last year. I was really interested to see what character he was going to come back as and I wasn't expecting Y2J since he had said in interviews that he wouldn't do Y2J anymore. It didn't take me too long to figure out what he was doing and I think he played it beautifully. Only Chris Jericho could enter to a huge face pop and leave to boos only minutes later without essentially doing or saying anything. I'm really interested to see where this goes.
  17. Really? From everything I've heard outside of the few blocks of government buildings DC is a ghetto.
  18. It really doesn't matter what Aoki wants to do if he doesn't sign with Milwaukee. He's under contract with his Japanese team and would need to be released to play anywhere else.
  19. The Japanese team isn't required to take the high bid. I would guess they have layers look at the bids to determine if they are legitimate or not. Remember the Japanese team is essentially selling the player hoping to make money, if they accept and illegitimate bid they get nothing. So if someone offered a bid of $100 million for Darvish they would be taking a huge risk accepting it unless it was the Yankees or Red Sox.
  20. I've never been but I would think that if you get front row on the floor that would be best. However, if you can't lower level should be fine.
  21. In the back of my mind I'm hoping that no one is willing to give him what he wants and Mark goes big and Prince resigns for one year at about $25 million, but that's 99% probably not going to happen.
  22. I think you should be in the clear. If someone hasn't made an effort to find it after 2 and a half months I don't think they will.
