  1. I'm assuming he's not getting paid in 2021 but is he still getting the $48M left on the contract for 2022 and 2023? If so, I bet he's a little embarrassed he got caught again but I'm sure he'll be fine with the near quarter billion dollar he'll have made in his career.
  2. Even without pandemic affected revenue that contract makes no sense. It's only one year so it's not a franchise crippling deal or anything but there's no way they couldn't have found a better use for $11M this offseason.
  3. That's the problem Reilly, many people (including here) have no nuance. They are saying grandma and grandpa shouldn't see their kids. What you describe above is how I think most of us are handling this. Isn't that exactly what health experts and leaders are saying though? Everything I see says to not gather with people not from your household. Wouldn't that mean gather only with the people you live with and, in the vast majority of cases, exclude grandparents?
  4. I had Brown to. One early 21 yard reception and squat after that. Fortunately I'm playing that one guy that quits paying attention after a few weeks of sucking and half his lineup is either on a bye or out with injury. There's always one of those guys in every league. He dropped a 70+ yard TD in the first quarter and dropped a few others the rest of the game. I don't think I have ever cussed at a football game more than I did Thursday night.
  5. Honest question, who was the last ex-player to get a GM or similar job? I can't remember. I thought it was the Ivy League egg-heads that were ruining the game anyway.
  6. Need a win this week to maintain even a prayer of making the playoffs. Tannehill and AJ Brown pretty much answered that prayer with a no last night. Thursday games are fantasy killers.
  7. Hasn't the pandemic pretty much proven that's how all higher education is?
  8. I don't know if you could find any two shows more on the opposite ends of the spectrum. I'm a huge fan of Schitt's Creek and I thought the first couple seasons were the best. They focused too much on "heart" and relationships toward the end and lost the comedy aspect of the show.
  9. Can we pencil him in to start opening day about 2026?
  10. Hasty and Justin Jackson were my RB's this week. Had I replaced them with anyone on my bench I still wouldn't have won but it still ticks me off.
  11. Is there a large group of people actually blaming him for that game? Hader was the one walking and hitting everybody, the tying run scored easily on the hit, and (I don't remember with 100% certainly but) wouldn't it have taken an absolutely perfect play from Grisham to prevent the go ahead run from scoring? Even if I'm wrong about that last part, the game is 100% on Hader, or Counsell for leaving him in when he clearly didn't have it.
  12. Bell is basically the same crap we've been running out at 1B for the past decade, only a little younger. If he were a FA coming in on a minimum or minors deal, sure, whatever. But no way do I trade anyone for him.
  13. Take away the garbage time TD and he didn't do much either. With all the injuries the 49'ers had I totally saw a Packers blowout coming but still told myself "The experts know what they're talking about. Hasty should give me a solid 10 points minimum here." Nope, plays only like 10 snaps. I've taken way too many risks this year, probably more than I ever have in a season before, and have been burned by almost every single one.
  14. The Niners could dig up Carl Monroe's rotting corpse and he'd go for 150. Go with Hasty. I can easily see the Packers getting up big early and then McKinnon takes most of the snaps as the pass catcher. Plus I avoid playing Thursday game guys unless they are no-brainer starts. But I don't see anyway this game is actually played on a Thursday. This is why I never listen to my gut or all the experts that start salivating over some random guy one week because he has "plus" matchup. The 49'ers trash offense and the Packers running up the score is going to make Hasty a big fat turd in my lineup.
  15. I did the second he signed because I had a roster spot to burn. I'll see how he does this week and maybe next week if I don't need the spot before I decide to start or dump. I'm very much leaning toward him not being worth much fantasy wise but I wasn't going to let someone else find out he would be Brady's favorite target and WR1.
  16. Edmonds Gurley Anderson Jones, although if Stafford doesn't play I probably go with McKinnon and Williams as your last two. Williams, tough call between him and McKinnon but it seems like Mike and Herbert have something going right now. There is no way to trust Mike Evans the rest of the season. I actually just traded him. With Godwin healthy he's useless, throw in Gronk and Antonio Brown for however long until he implodes and there's just not enough there to trust him week to week.
  17. I almost always take the floor and Fant has the best of that group to me. I think 5/50 is guaranteed. If Crowder was healthy I would go with him but you can't do that with him playing Monday night.
  18. The Niners could dig up Carl Monroe's rotting corpse and he'd go for 150. Go with Hasty. 19. i need two RB's from this group: Antonio Gibson Justin Jackson DeeJay Dallas JaMycal Hasty My gut is telling me to stick with Gibson and Jackson as they are the known commodities and don't need to worry about other player's health to define their role. However, my gut is also telling me that Dallas and Hasty have ski high ceilings compared to the other two. Dallas could be the only healthy back in a great offense and Hasty could be the lead back against a D that can't stop the run. I'm also a little concerned that the 49'ers total lack of a QB is going to negate whatever advantage they have on the ground.
  20. I'm going to try to get Houston if I can this week. The Jags are starting a 6th round rookie at QB. I had about two weeks where my streams worked well this year, otherwise they've all been total disasters so who knows.
  21. I only watched the game because I have Bridgewater on my fantasy team and I was shocked at how boring and disorganized the Panthers offense looked. There was no urgency and Bridgewater looked like he had to point out every defender and tell every player on his team what was going on before the snap. It just seemed weird, like something I'd never seen in an NFL game before. Their fake punt was pretty good though. The announcers never mentioned it but I'm pretty sure they took the delay of game call before the fake on purpose. Everyone was set with like 5 seconds left on the playclock but they never snapped it and no one seemed upset about the call. No team is going to suspect a fake punt after taking a penalty. If it was on purpose, that's borderline genius.
  22. Lockett was a lot of people's nightmare last night. But also a lot of people's dream girl. Unfortunately he was the former for me.
  23. This above. Aguilar close to his normal range in 2020. Shaw better. Cain had bad year. Now Hiura, Yelich, Narvaez, Garcia, Smoak garbage seasons vs norm expectations. Look, y'all can say how much do you think a hitting coach really matters, I think it's an a game plan on what a Starter will throw on sequencing. How many times did we watch pitches right down the middle be taken for strike? Then swing at garbage? That to me is Haines saying on 1-1 he's going to throw a breaking ball in the dirt, anything belt high take because its going to fall out of the strike zone. Maybe that can explain Hiura swinging through FBs down middle plate because the "Haines magic Scouting Report" says this situation a pitch is going to break. Let's talk about the pathetic 3b or 2b with 0 outs. There are guys clearly struggling and not once can he call for the bunt to move a player over, or even suicide squeeze. Just think it's time to move on after such a poor showing among many statistics a team can have. If it cant all be blamed on Haines cuz he does nothing impactful really for hitting then, replacing him isnt a loss. Just bring the next placeholder who does nothing if that is true. You can always use an excuse that a slump is the adjusting on hitting philosophy that guy brings. Heck give the job to Braun while picking up his option. Interim title with the open search for 2022. Scouting reports are made by the front office. All the hitting coach does is communicate it to the players. And as for the bolded part, you probably just described 95% of the hitters in baseball. That's not solely a Brewers issue.
  24. I would probably agree on your RB choices. And if Crowder is out, I'd go Brown & Higgins. Crowder was questionable at the time and I didn't think there was a chance of him not playing but, well, Higgins it is. Of course, this will be the week Evans goes all 2019 and puts up a 10/15/2 line or something. My heart and brain are both telling me the obvious choices are Jackson and Bernard. But all the places I go for fantasy info are telling me that Gibson is going to be huge against Dallas. Not that I put any stock into such things, but both Yahoo and ESPN are projecting big points for him. I can somewhat see their line of thinking but he has just not been getting the volume all year for that to happen.
  25. I feel like my whole lineup this week is a toss up. My RB's are Gibson, Bernard, Henderson, and Justin Jackson. I'm leaning toward Jackson and Bernard. Jackson should hopefully be the feature back against a very beatable defense and Bernard should be getting all the snaps that Mixon was getting plus the ones he was already taking from him. On the other hand, Henderson has shown he can blow up and everything I'm reading says that Gibson should roll through the Cowboys even though he hasn't done that at all this year and essentially in a 50/50 split with McKissic. My WR's are Crowder, AJ Brown, Evans, Higgins, and Diontae Johnson. Probably going with Crowder and Brown and they should have the highest floors. Evans has been all over the place and his season point total only looks good because of all the TD's. Brady seems to be locking onto Gronk and Goodwin and forgetting about him. Higgins is starting to look like he might be the new man for Cincy but hard to trust Burrows. Johnson and the cadre of Steelers WR's are a total guess at this point. I've got Justin Herbert or Teddy Bridgewater as my superflex because I generally go with the safe floor but might put Higgins there.
