  1. a lot of NDFA on the roster. Don't we have any legit outfield prospects?
  2. well, the good news is that with every out, Prince's pricetag drops by around $300-500k.
  3. Can we please not use this phrase. Yes, Dodgeball is a hilarious movie, but it's perhaps the most annoying cliche used on brewerfan.net. I almost made a post the other day asking the over/under for first time that annoying phrase is used this season
  4. congrats to Kotsay...he actually got a ball out of the infield. Is defensive whiz Adam Everett available?
  5. McGehee is solid on defense and very good on offense. He's just not in the same class as Rolen or the other whizzes.
  6. Just curious, has Heckathorn ever touched his college velocity as a pro? Otherwise he and Arnett are really nowhere close velocity-wise to where they were in college
  7. Man, the minor leagues can't start soon enough. I can't wait to have minor league boxscores to look forward to when the Brewers lose
  8. Braddock's fastball velocity looked fine there. Good to see since that was a concern. Okay GoGo, get on for the meat
  9. Irony...Reds announcers felt it shouldn't have been an error on Fielder, and now they feel that should be an error on Renteria.
  10. Wow, the Reds broadcasters just mentioned that it was an error on Weeks, not Fielder. I am speechless. Someone should keep tally of the errors Fielder adds to his infielder's totals.
  11. I'm just glad they gave Prince the Error on that routine play. I hate how he normally makes everyone else look worse than they are, since they get the E's, not him.
  12. ouch...Fielder cost us a run there. Great play by Weeks, as infielders are taught to throw it low rather than high...that was a routine hop
  13. Aguilar looked like a closer, so I love adding young power arms.
  14. Green seems to have the Brad Nelson luck with the wrist injury. Some guys just have a hard time swinging like they used to. I still like Green and--given our present right-handedness--think he could be very important to our team
  15. It's in the 700's with the MLB Extra Innings Package
  16. I'm also bummed about Green and Fiers. I wonder why they moved Fiers back to the pen after being the surprise of last season
  17. I didn't feel motivated after the Brewers game, so I just went online and filled out the forms. It turns out that the bank has a relationship with the dealer, so instead of financing at 2.99% I got a rate of 2.69%.
  18. I hope they realize very quickly that Kotsay is a bench bat...not a starter. Almonte is a bench bat...not a starter. Morgan needs to play. Counsell needs to play 2-3 times per week.
  19. Kotsay didn't impress at all. His range is not what it once was. He used to be fast and showed good OBP skills. He didn't hit a single ball decently
  20. positives: Brewers outplay rival for 8.5 innings. Brewers gave up 12 hits, but 1 should have been an error and at least 4 others occurred on broken bat flares. Brewers pitchers generally worked around a very tight strikezone (especially at the bottom of the zone). negatives: Roenecke made several mistakes including not using his bullpen lefties, not double-switching resulting in burning an extra PH, McGehee needed to either get the lead runner or go for a 6-4-3 DP, not a 6-3 DP. too many homers allowed.
  21. I feel sick to my stomach. It feels like last April all over again.
  22. and on the third pitch to Bruce, Ax threw a strike...wasn't called cause he missed the target by 18"
  23. nice steal Go Go. Just curious...how is this a sellout when it appears 10-20% of the stadium is empty? I guess "paid" attendance, but that's crazy.
