  1. Depending on the market, I think Gio and Miley are targets. I also think woodruff, peralta, and Burnes could ahift back
  2. Seems weird to not disclose that. It sure worked well when Davey Lopes didn't disclose that Leskanic was unavailable, and Bill Castro started stretching in the bullpen, causing the opponents to think we had an available reliever.
  3. the most logical would be for the eastern-most game to be game 1 on Friday. That would be in Boston. Then it would be Milwaukee or Houston, followed by the other, and Dodgers hosting. I really would love for the game to start at around 5pm MST, but I'm worried it'll be earlier.
  4. During the game I thought the Brewers cheers were almost as loud as Cubs. I had my notes on the board and the game on our smart TV. The kids enjoyed watching during class
  5. Nice! You're lucky, we always have our mini-fall break around Yom Kippur. We have no days off until Veteran's Day now.
  6. Because in close playoff games, Broxton won't play. He can't hit. If there's an injury to an OF, Broxton can be an injury-replacement. I'd probably keep Santana before Broxton or Thames. I had 1 spot left. I just hope it isn't Barnes or Williams
  7. I may be a bad teacher and have it on in my classroom. At least two Cubs fans in my department might as well. Stinks that it is starting at 10am. The good news is the rain is likely cancelling practice.
  8. C: Kratz, Pina IF: Aguilar, Schoop, Arcia, Moustakas, Shaw, Perez OF: Braun, Yelich, Cain, Granderson SP: Chacin, Miley, Gonzalez RP: Knebel, Jeffress, Hader, Burnes, Soria, Cedeno, Jennings, Woodruff, Guerra upper Bubble: Thames, Peralta, Davies, Santana (as pinch hitter?) lower Bubble: Broxton, Williams, Anderson, Barnes So the debate for me for 25th player is Peralta as long man (in care we're behind a couple runs and don't want to burn bullpen) or for bullpen game, Davies (can he pitch out of pen?), Santana (2nd RH ph after Perez), or Thames (2nd LH ph after Granderson). I wouldn't put Broxton, Anderston, Williams (brutal 2h), or Barnes on the roster. Of course, I fully expect the Brewers to put Williams on the roster. Broxton can be added as an injury-replacement if someone gets hurt
  9. I think I have Brewers playoff tickets from around 1998 or so.
  10. I'm waiting for a Quantum Leap re-make.
  11. A couple of thoughts. First of all, Amazon is finally getting attention for monopolistic practices. If this were the TR or Taft era, the govt would be breathing down their necks. So if Amazon moves into banking, it would be only a matter of time before they are broken up by the Govt. Secondly, while there are a lot of worthless analysts and brokers, most of them genuinely know more about more about investing than the average Joe. When the next recession hits and Robin Hood investors aren’t adequately diversified or millennials are stuck with their crypto, there will be a need for good financial advisors. Why not look into how you can bridge this gap? People need info and tools, yet they elude most Americans. The lack of saving for most Americans creates a problem that is a true market failure. Financial advisors chase the big guys, but there are a lot of regular guys that need the savings and advice
  12. I still find it weird that while we're talking about the Matthews flag, nobody is mentioning that Brice should have easily intercepted or broken up the last TD. If he was watching the ball and not the player, he'd have seen the ball nearly hit him in the head.
  13. On the hit that was called against Minnesota earlier in the game, the player sort of picked up Rodgers and dropped him. The one by Clay had nothing wrong at all.
  14. I’d have Anderson as our #3 or 4 starter. I have Gio, Chacin, Davies, and Miley ahead of hi, currently.
  15. How many direct flights daily are there from Fresno to MLB cities? How many direct flights from Vegas? Besides my love of Vegas, I think it's a far superior location. Plus Vegas has a brand new ballpark in a nice area. Yes Vegas is a better city, but isn’t the goal to train players for the bigs not have a cool city for fans to visit and the players to play in. I’ll take a boring city in a neutral park over Vegas all of the time. Given how the Brewers shuttle their players in options-years, do you really want them playing planes, trains, and automobiles to get anywhere? I’ll take direct flights everywhere for $1000 please

  17. I’m pretty sure all bats are playoff eligible. Right-handed and left-handed bats both work well, but some say the maple ones break too easily.
  18. I think we've won about 10% of our challenges, and lost 100% of opponent challenges
  19. Fresno is pretty bad. The good news is our players would be so bored that they'd have nothing to do but practice and think baseball
  20. How about the Brewers luck with replay challenges. Counsell challenges plays that seem simple and loses consistently. Opponents seem to take replays that look like obvious brewers wins and turn them against the Brewers nightly. We must be 10-30 on challenges, while opponents must be 40-5 against us. How come that doesn’t even out?
  21. But Jorge Lopez has been awesome for the Royals
  22. With Guerra having a decent year, I think we need to consider moving him. We didn't get anything last time and could have.
  23. It seemed like Soria had to alter his stride a bit and lost some control. Can we trade Taylor Williams, Matt Albers, and Dan Jennings for their April/May versions?
  24. Love this trade! He’s been a difference maker for a while. Great buy low candidate
