  1. Yes...however, if someone like the Royals, who are in all in mode, were willing to say part with Moustakas, I think the Brewers would genuinely have to entertain that option, despite where they are in contention, given the lack of a long term option at 3B. Is Ramirez-Moustakas trade likely or reasonable? No. But the point is the Brewers should be planning beyond 2014 and Ramirez at 3B.
  2. As much as I razz our coaching staff, I will say that they have turned some relative non-prospects into everyday players (Lucroy) and potential everyday players (Davis and Gennett). Lawrie, Escobar, Brantley, Cain...none of them, save Brantley, have turned into the player their prospect status said they could be. In fact if I were to have a choice of the 7 players mentioned, in order, I would take: 1. Lucroy 2. Lawrie (only because of position) 3. Brantley 4. Davis 5. Cain 6/7. Gennett/Escobar Given that none of the current Brewers were mega hyped prospects, I have to say our coaching staff has done well to develop their talent.
  3. @2:35: I've never seen a Wang doing a chicken dance
  4. "MY GOD!! THAT'S RYAN BRAUN'S MUSIC!!!" (Braun comes out of the dugout without his shirt, gold chains on and a toothpick while he hits) CLASSIC!
  5. I have to admit that I thought it would be pretty lame when it started but it turned out to be a pretty good video actually. Well done is right.
  6. I still want Ike Davis in Milwaukee as the LH option at 1B but....AMEN!!
  7. Oh lord... http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/writer/jon-heyman/24520144/market-warming-for-morales-orioles-brewers-mariners-make-sense Please just trade for Ike rather than making this move.
  8. It has been discussed at great length already but any change of the Brewers logo that doesn't end with the Brewers going back to ball and glove would be foolish. The ball and glove is beloved in Wisconsin and around the country as one of the most clever and well thought of logos in history, not just sports. If the Brewers are to do a re-design, it would be smart to go back to this logo and look. However, I don't think that a full re-design is what would be in store. I think we could see some subtle changes to the current uniform set as I mentioned earlier in the thread (removing times new roman font). What I really would anticipate if a change was to come is the M and barley remaining the logo, with the jerseys receiving a tweak. Similar to what the Nationals did a few years back with their re-design of the jersey, with the curly W remaining. I could see the home uniform changing to have the M with barley over the heart similar to what the Yankees or Nationals do, with either the current Milwaukee script on the road grays or a more simple Milwaukee arched on them. Either way, I would welcome the changes I mentioned.
  9. I understand the Brewers really pounded the ball today, but the lineup that the Brewers put out there today is the best they can do with the current players on the roster: 1. Gomez 2. Segura 3. Braun 4. Ramirez 5. Lucroy 6. Davis 7. Reynolds 8. Gennett
  10. Think this would've been a nice time to let Gennett hit against a LHP. Oh and I just found out that Zach Duke is a synonym for Yunieksy Betancourt.
  11. MLB Gameday really shows that Lohse is getting ridiculously squeezed today.
  12. The point is that the Brewers had the #12 and #15 pick in the 2011 draft and somehow managed to not draft a stud when Jose Fernandez was drafted at #14, CJ Cron at #17, Sonny Gray at #18, Matt Barnes at #19. Missing on one pick is understandable but missing on two when the talent surrounding the picks have been just what the Brewers need, shows the drafting and scouting philosophy of this team needs a major adjustment.

  14. And if I am Alderson and the Mets front office, I would be ecstatic to get that return on Davis. A guy who can throw 100, even if wild, is a project I would love to take on as a pitching coach. Moreover, ending the nightmare tht is the Duda/Ike/Satin situation in NY and get at least a live arm is better than trading him for nothing or simply DFAing him.
  15. Ugh...I hope not. If it's not a move back to the ball and glove, the Brewers should roll with current scheme for the foreseeable future. While I hate the times new roman font and the gold jersey, I do love the M with barley hat logo, and with some minor tweaks, the current set could be classic.
  16. Brewers should make the move. I can't imagine the Mets still think he is worth a Thornburg plus Lyle's presence shouldn't exclude the Brewers from continuing the search to finding a long term solution at 1B.
  17. No runs...and you just know the Red Sox will push a few across now. It's amazing how I always expect the best when the Packers play...and how I always expect the exact opposite when the Brewers play.
  18. Red Sox fans lustily booing Braun and loving PED Papi currently, and ManRam during the mid 2000s is the height of hypocrisy.
  19. http://brewersbeat.mlblogs.com/2014/04/04/braunthumb/ Awesome news... Even if it wasn't a guarantee to work, why not just have the surgery when he was suspended and see if it would improve it? I don't understand his or the organization's thinking to not have the surgery.
  20. I also love the A's yellow and think the Brewers would look much better in that color rather than the mustard/gold color they are using currently. Think the yellow of the retro rather than the gold of the current uniform.
  21. I guess I am in the minority ...they are still hideous
  22. I am sorry but our gold uniforms are beyond ugly. The Brewers looked so good the past two days wearing the home whites and then they roll out these things. The gray away, the blue alternates and the retro all look good for the most part. The gold is just beyond ugly to me.
