  1. That would be encouraging except I know Wolf won't get pulled until he gives up a 2R HR
  2. Saunders has a career postseason ERA of 5.40, so if we can hold them scoreless, we will win by .4 runs /optimistic logic
  3. wow body language from Braun on that play was 'damnit my pitcher sucks and I am helpless'
  4. The ball is carrying like crazy, I bet there are at least 2 more home runs tonight by somebody
  5. I feel like if we can get even just 1 run here we are going to have a little confidence
  6. we seem to lose when we give up grand slams, maybe our pitchers should look into that correlation
  7. This is agonizing to watch, the best hitters get out 60% of the time, keep telling myself that...
  8. lol: "A 97-year-old man who wanted to watch a Milwaukee Brewers game called 911 to report someone had stolen his remote control … The remote control was found after police responded, so the man was able to watch the Brewers game." http://www.westallisnow.com/news/man-calls-911-after-missing-remote-to-watch-brewers-game-131067753.html
  9. I just don't see us scoring a bunch of runs today. The lineup looks weak against a lefty. Gomez - I expect he'll take 1-2 ABs to settle down like Nyjer Morgan. I think Wolf has a halfway decent chance of doing well, 6-7 innings and 1-2 runs, if he's got it today.
  10. Collmenter is a rookie who is all smoke and mirrors. If they are as focused as they have been the last 2 games, he'll get lit up.
  11. If they keep this up this trend and fine him every time he complains, he'll be broke in a year.
  12. Lost confidence in Greinke again. Same as the first 2 months he pitched, same problem keeps coming back, no way it's a fluke or bad luck, some days he doesn't have it, today for example.
  13. I heard that from a lot of other places, I thought that was pretty much fact http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/fanblogs/102951394.html "The White Sox wished to include right-hander Daniel Hudson as the centerpiece to the deal. The Brewers did not see Hudson as anything more than a #3 starter at the big leagues, however, so they asked for more than Hudson in return (reportedly Gordon Beckham). That was obviously too rich for Chicago's blood and the talks died."
  14. If I was a DBacks fan I would be ripping my manager right now. He's made some glaring mistakes so far, not playing Goldschmidt right up there with pitching to Prince. I'm pretty happy that Roenicke has been great lately.
  15. Is the 'Greinke will likely not go much deeper than the sixth' comment something someone reported or just speculation? Can't limit a top pitcher with a pitch count in the playoffs, 3 days rest or not.
  16. Can't say enough good things about Gallardo, he really set the bar high for Greinke tomorrow. Also Axford is just filthy.
  17. RR filled out the perfect lineup today. I am sad that he had to tell McGehee he wasn't starting though.
  18. Forget that, I'm all in, World Series! This is the best team the Brewers have ever had.
  19. Greinke Marcum Gallardo Wolf That way you go fast-slow-fast-slow or another way to look at it pitch to strikeout-contact-strikeout-contact with a lefty in there. If we lose 2 out of 3 I would consider bringing in Greinke on day 4, but probably not because I think he needs to know in advance what day he's going to pitch. Arizona is the only team where I would maybe want to skip Wolf, but against Atlanta or Philly he's a pretty good matchup. Another thing I would probably try to do is make sure Wolf doesn't pitch in Philly because he might be vulnerable to the HR in that park.
  20. This is exactly what he said a week after we traded for him. This is not a new opinion from him. Like I said then, he's going to put his game face on, fake it (being a team player) for a few months and get his contract next year. The other thing he said
  21. I don't know who it was but there is someone on the Rockies that literally made me say "that guy looks just like Craig Counsell"
  22. Can someone please explain to me why Braun can see a 95 mph fastball but is clueless against a slow fly ball?
