  1. Turang is tied with Yelich for the 4th best WAR among position players. Now maybe when Urias comes back you send him down for 2 weeks to gain that extra year of control, but he's hardly been bad and I have zero confidence Toro would be any better at all. Young players are going to go through growing pains and that's ok
  2. This is the 2nd year in a row where I think Gute absolutely killed it on day 3(outside of the Clifford pick). But Wooden, Wicks, Brooks, Valentine, Nichols III, Johnson Jr., & Dubose I think all have a chance to make an impact on this team. Today was a ton of fun
  3. Brooks is another really good pick. One of the weirdest players in the draft, just missed out on being on my top 102 board but getting him in the 6th is great value.
  4. Wicks is a great pick. Really athletic and really young(will turn 22 this summer). Averaged over 20 ypc. Has issues with drops but that's common among young WRs. Really like this pick
  5. Sean Clifford sucks and will be 25 this season. I hate this pick
  6. No offense at all, but when people only focus on positives and never talk about negatives I tend not to lean much on their opinion. This isn't a shot at you specifically but more of a general statement and it goes the other way too, if someone is constantly negative then I tend to tune them out as well
  7. I'm loving this draft outside of the Reed pick. They are taking young freak athletes. Every pick is 22 or younger except for Reed(who literally turned 23 yesterday) and all are super athletic except for Reed(whose a good not great athlete)
  8. Wooden seems like a pash rush specialist, he was the lightest DT in the draft but had the 3rd fastest 40 and the quickest 10 yard split. Could maybe see him platoon with Slaton who is basically a run down only guy
  9. I really liked what they did yesterday outside of Reed. Musgrave is a huge variance prospect, I wouldn't be surprised if he's a top 5 TE in the NFL or if he completely busts. Kraft is the opposite where he screams a solid but not spectacular 10 year career to me. 2 different skills sets at TE that complement each other really well. Reed was not on my 3 round board, very fast but otherwise unathletic and had a low catch %. Reed should be able to make an immediate contribution as a Punt returner though and will have a chance to go win the slot job As we head into day 3 here are the top guys on my board 27 Kelee Ringo 37 Adetomiwa Adebawore 50 Dawand Jones 53 Noah Sewell 54 AT Perry 55 Antonio Johnson 57 Jaelyn Duncan 58 Moro Ojomo 62 Luke Wypler 67 JL Skinner 73 Darius Rush 77 Clark Phillips III 80 Isaiah Mcguire 81 Jaylon Jones 84 Blake Freeland 85 Trey Palmer 87 Josh Whyle 89 Kayshon Boutte 98 Israel Abanikanda 99 Nick Herbig 101 Henry To'oTo'o
  10. I think if they go the tackle route then Broderick Jones or Darnell Wright are more likely than Skoronski
  11. Some miracle? I don't think I've seen a single mock or top 100 board that has Branch before 13
  12. You're right that they might like him because of his athleticism but I just don't like the idea of drafting a guy who, by most accounts, is still raw and needs to develop but who is also already 24 years old. In the 2nd round sure I'd be fine with him but I struggle to think there aren't 15 guys better for us Tbf though I'm very low on White, he's my 71st ranked prospect
  13. What makes you think Keion White makes a ton of sense on paper besides the fact he's an Edge?
  14. This is my list for the Packers specifically, as an example I like Mingo as a WR but I think he's a perfect fit for GB so that boosted him quite a bit, it's also part of why I knocked Brian Branch, overall I'd probably have him late 20s/early 30s but I don't think he's a good fit for GB so that knocked him down a bit
  15. Certainly possible, will depend on how he and Wiemer perform the next couple weeks. Sounds like Taylor will be going on a rehab assignment next week so he should be back fairly soon and then I'd guess either Perkins or Wiemer heads back to AAA
  16. With Frelick's struggles Perkins makes the most sense to me. He's been hot in Nashville, can play all 3 Outfield spots, and is a switch hitter so he'll always have the platoon advantage. Wiemer in CF, Anderson in RF with Perkins as the 4th OF getting a couple starts a week makes sense until Tyrone comes back
  17. Per Jesse Temple Wisconsin pulled their offers to Harbour & Smith so it's not so much a recruiting loss as a bold choice not to pursue two 4 star prospects from Wisconsin. I'm not going to pretend my evaluation skills are on the level of Fickell or Longo so I'll cautiously trust them on this, but from an optics standpoint it's weird to come in and talk about how important in state recruiting is and then not pursue two separate four star guys that have earned other major P5 offers As for the stars thing of course there are exceptions to the rule but there are also a lot of studies done showing the correlation between getting 4 and 5 star guys and winning at a high level. Stars matter Edit: although as I say that Evan Flood says not to believe everything we'll hear today and that he'll share more on signing day, so who knows.
  18. And that's totally fair as a one off. But when Penn St just got a commitment from the #1 guy in the state and is currently Crystal balled to get the #3 & #6 guys in the state it seems like Penn St specifically has made some in roads in Wisconsin. If this was Chryst we were talking about instead of Fickell people would be super upset. The thing is I like what Fickell has done so far, but missing out on some of the top in state guys is disappointing. Right now our 2024 class has 1 4 star guy and a bunch of 3 stars, it's actually very Wisconsin-y, adding the in state 4 stars would have given this class a big boost.
  19. I'm supposed to believe they passed on the #1, #3, & #6 guys in the state and are just letting them all go to Penn St? 2 of which are 4 stars? Also we know they didn't pass on Harbour or Smith because they have offers from Wisconsin
  20. Missing out on the 4 star olineman who happens to be the #1 rated recruit in Wisconsin isn't a miss? They just took a 3 star olineman ranked 5th in the state.
  21. Seems the Badgers missed out on the top in state recruit whose heading to Penn St. The #3 & #6 in state recruits are also currently crystal balled to Penn St who is apparently making some in roads in Wisconsin. I like what Fickell has done so far but this seems to be his first Big miss. So far our current recruiting class only has 1 4 star player and a bunch of 3 stars so it feels very Wisconsin-y to me. Getting those 4 star in state guys would have given this class a big boost
