  1. This is my list for the Packers specifically, as an example I like Mingo as a WR but I think he's a perfect fit for GB so that boosted him quite a bit, it's also part of why I knocked Brian Branch, overall I'd probably have him late 20s/early 30s but I don't think he's a good fit for GB so that knocked him down a bit
  2. Certainly possible, will depend on how he and Wiemer perform the next couple weeks. Sounds like Taylor will be going on a rehab assignment next week so he should be back fairly soon and then I'd guess either Perkins or Wiemer heads back to AAA
  3. With Frelick's struggles Perkins makes the most sense to me. He's been hot in Nashville, can play all 3 Outfield spots, and is a switch hitter so he'll always have the platoon advantage. Wiemer in CF, Anderson in RF with Perkins as the 4th OF getting a couple starts a week makes sense until Tyrone comes back
  4. Per Jesse Temple Wisconsin pulled their offers to Harbour & Smith so it's not so much a recruiting loss as a bold choice not to pursue two 4 star prospects from Wisconsin. I'm not going to pretend my evaluation skills are on the level of Fickell or Longo so I'll cautiously trust them on this, but from an optics standpoint it's weird to come in and talk about how important in state recruiting is and then not pursue two separate four star guys that have earned other major P5 offers As for the stars thing of course there are exceptions to the rule but there are also a lot of studies done showing the correlation between getting 4 and 5 star guys and winning at a high level. Stars matter Edit: although as I say that Evan Flood says not to believe everything we'll hear today and that he'll share more on signing day, so who knows.
  5. And that's totally fair as a one off. But when Penn St just got a commitment from the #1 guy in the state and is currently Crystal balled to get the #3 & #6 guys in the state it seems like Penn St specifically has made some in roads in Wisconsin. If this was Chryst we were talking about instead of Fickell people would be super upset. The thing is I like what Fickell has done so far, but missing out on some of the top in state guys is disappointing. Right now our 2024 class has 1 4 star guy and a bunch of 3 stars, it's actually very Wisconsin-y, adding the in state 4 stars would have given this class a big boost.
  6. I'm supposed to believe they passed on the #1, #3, & #6 guys in the state and are just letting them all go to Penn St? 2 of which are 4 stars? Also we know they didn't pass on Harbour or Smith because they have offers from Wisconsin
  7. Missing out on the 4 star olineman who happens to be the #1 rated recruit in Wisconsin isn't a miss? They just took a 3 star olineman ranked 5th in the state.
  8. Seems the Badgers missed out on the top in state recruit whose heading to Penn St. The #3 & #6 in state recruits are also currently crystal balled to Penn St who is apparently making some in roads in Wisconsin. I like what Fickell has done so far but this seems to be his first Big miss. So far our current recruiting class only has 1 4 star player and a bunch of 3 stars so it feels very Wisconsin-y to me. Getting those 4 star in state guys would have given this class a big boost

  10. on the broadcast last night they stated Wiemer leads MLB in DRS which is pretty incredible. I do think he'll get sent down whenever Taylor comes back but even without hitting he's providing value
  11. Bryse Wilsok currently leading the team in saves is something I'm sure we all predicted
  12. the bullpen has certainly gotten off to an incredible start this year
  13. I don't think they consider Guerra that way, they gave up a legit prospect to acquire him. I'd guess Payamps or Wilson are ahead of him to be replaced if the time comes unless Guerra bombs out
  14. Agreed, in depth and hits all the key areas One note though, Cousins isn't in the MLB Bullpen, that said I love the bullpen usage chart
  15. To clarify Wiemer was never eligible for the draft pick reward so the opening day stuff doesn't matter. You have to be on 2 of the 3 top 100 lists(fangraphs, BA, ESPN) and Wiemer was only on one of the 3
  16. That's a great point, as long as you don't lose the challenge if they are successful
  17. I hope they fully implement robo umps and not the challenge system. If the Brewers challenged a single pitch yesterday thats great but if the ump keeps calling the same pitch a strike when it's not then it won't matter
  18. Just saw this so sorry for the late response, but I never understood why histories follow teams(I know why they do legally but it's dumb). Warren Spahn literally never played in Atlanta. If the Edmonton Oilers ever moved to Milwaukee I'd find it weird to celebrate Wayne Gretzky or the Stanley Cups they had won for example.
  19. Yesterday continued my confidence in the pen arms that Arnold has assembled, they aren't proven but there is a lot of talent there.
  20. I think there is a very big difference between sucks and unproven. This pen is very much unproven, but I wouldn't say it sucks yet
  21. Check out Strezlecki, he put up great numbers last year and his underlying metrics say it wasn't a fluke.
  22. I think you guys are underrating Strezlecki quite a bit, he was really good last season and he's Relievers can have high variance from year to year but with the amount of really good arms the Brewers stacked up I'm quite confident a couple of them with step up into high leverage Relievers
