  1. Hunter Morris is finishing the season up strong! He now has 73 XBH and his average is back above .300
  2. The Brewers have had 8 games they have lost since the All Star break when leading going into the 8th inning... Most were with leads of 2 or more runs... The series in Philly was the worst. With those 8 games, the Brewers could be 72-60 right now. Maybe even better since I am not including any of the games lost in the late innings prior to the All Star break. Needless to say, I am still very excited for this team going forward!
  3. The BEST spot for a new ballpark in the Phoenix area would be where they put the new Rawhide at Wild Horse pass. Great area along the 1-10 freeway just south of the likes of Tempe/ Chandler/ Ahwatukee. 2 new top notch casinos are near and freeway access would be great. Lots of restaurants, shopping and hotels within 5 miles... Firebird raceway is also right next door.
  4. For those who live in or are familiar with Milwaukee, the Maryvale area of Phoenix is very comparable to say the Bradley Tech (formerly Milwaukee Trade and Tech and even more formerly Boy's Tech). Basically 6th and National...
  5. Good point. They also have to be careful since the Braves are red hot and remain only 6 game back. No throwing in AAA players for spot starts without potential consequences. Interestingly, if the Braves were to eclipse the Phillies, the Brewers/Phillies would play in the NLDS. 20 of the Phillies final 33 games are on the road also, including their last 6 (final 3 at the Braves)... The Brewers could possibly catch them as well http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. I know that I am getting ahead of myself here but I really like the fact that the Phillies are going to have to make up a ton of games the rest of the season (in comparison to the Brewers)... They do not have another off day the rest of the season and that includes 2 doubleheaders (the Brewers have 3 off days)... That has to be tough on a staff late in the year.
  7. Love it! http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/mlb/story/_/id/6889644/jered-weaver-bucks-scott-boras-advice-new-los-angeles-angels-deal
  8. I am shocked that a Boras client didn't wait for Free Agency! I would love for the Brewers to offer Greinke this exact same deal...
  9. Buster Olney reports Jered Weaver signs a 5 year $85 mil extension to stay with the Angels... Boras client was just a year away from becoming a free agent. http://tinyurl.com/Buster-tweet-Weaver
  10. I tend to agree with you with one exception... This team has GREAT chemistry to it right nowand is winning... They have to be careful to not rock the boat too much! Getting Weeks back is a given (which will move McGehee and Yuni down the order) but don't expect much more than that...
  11. Tack on a few more here! Don't get "complacent"...
  12. I am so glad I did not give up on this one (although I admit that I was VERY close)!!!
  13. Great AB's by Lucroy and Morgan to get that inning started...
  14. Typical National TV performance for the BrewCrew (or so it seems)...
  15. I know Green had been dinged up but does anyone have any idea as to why Gamel has not started the last 3 games (he did pinch hit last night)?
  16. Yes, that was me and that was yesterday... To be "exact" I had said to sit Braun IF the Brewers had lost last night (which they didn't).
  17. Nice win boys! Get back after it tomorrow! Braun better have a HUGE game!
  18. Props to David Wright... Not much alse to do or say but to give him a tip of the cap!
  19. Looked like the pitcher might have been talking some smack or something as Prince ran to first or after he turned to jog back once he was out. I would love to know what was said.Word on the Mets telecast is that Prince yelled something to himself as he was leaving the batters box and the pitcher took exception to it and chirped back at Prince as he ran past... Prince was clearly telling the pitcher that he was "yelling at himself"...
  20. It's nuts down here. Some schools started at the beginning of August. August 15th is actually LATE for Atlanta. I almost feel bad for the kids.My kids started school on July 25th in Chandler Arizona... Year round school... Crazy stuff!
  21. I wouldn't go that far. We need Braun in the lineup. I'll take a stern talking to but no reason to sit arguably our best player simply because he got tossed (which rarely happens). You are probably right but if there ever was a time to get your point across to a star player it would be now, wih a 7 game lead.
  22. RR needs to sit Braun tomorrow if the Brewers lose this game. No need to get ejected on the first game of a road trip on some borderline strike calls. This team needs leadership not stupid...
