  1. Just read the article. Good stuff. I love to see stories such as these and wish nothing but success for Jaye.
  2. Thank you for the updates. It is greatly appreciated! We look forward to next weeks announcement as well.
  3. Yeah because posting a 4.08 ERA in his first 75 IP in the Majors suggests this... Maybe the Brewers should have given up on Peralta and Fiers following their early struggles also??
  4. This is GREAT to see! Hopefully he can get a start or two in Nashville before the season is over.
  5. Not quite division winning play going on right now for the Brewers...
  6. For whatever reason Gallardo does not have the same command at home as he does on the road. Coming into tonight: 77 IP on the road he has just 14 BB 77 IP at home he has 26 BB
  7. Gallardo is a Cy Young candidate when pitching on the road but very average when pitching at home this year...
  8. If he can get a little bit of control he could be an awesome addition to any major league roster. However, when you throw 105 pitches in 6 innings, and only 55 of them are strikes; it's hard to believe success will come at the major league level. Agreed. Same could be said for Ariel Pena. Take away the walks and his other numbers suggest dominance.
  9. Taylor Jungmann seems to be settling in nicely at AAA. In his last 10 games he has gone 5-1 with a 3.29 ERA, a 1.13 WHIP and 52 k's in 54.2 IP. Walks are high (23) but has only allowed 39 H over those same 54.2 IP.
  10. The more I hear about Parra, the more I think he will fit in with the Brewers... The joke on Phoenix sports talk shows today is that Parra was traded to Milwaukee but was picked off before he got there... Apparently he is a travesty on the base paths... Not sure what part of this should be in blue, if any...
  11. He will replace Logan Schafer as the 4th OF. This was much needed. Parra has a career OPS of .721 with over 2,900 career plate appearances. He can give any 3 of the Brewers outfielders a day off since he can play all 3 spots.
  12. Parra will be a solid 4th outfielder who can play all 3 spots and has a cannon for an arm. Can also hit a bit. HUGE upgrade over Logan Schafer.
  13. Just turned 26 and has hit well in the minors... Kind of reminds me of a Mat Gamel type without the injuries. Any interest for the BreCrew to help beyond this year at 3B or 1B? Would be cheap. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/07/rockies-designate-ryan-wheeler-for-assignment.html
  14. Through 2015. Baseball reference says: 2014 Contract Status: Signed, 4 yrs/$36M (12-15) (details) [*] Service Time (01/2014): 2.000, Arb Eligible: 2016, Free Agent: 2018 [*], Agents: Wasserman Media Group [*] Apparently Cespedes has a clause in his contract that allows him to hit the free market after the 2015 season and avoid arbitration per article on MLBTradeRumors.com
  15. Being that the game is delayed they probably held them back. They also wanted to get Henderson some work so they most likely wanted a situation where he could pitch early if they thought the game wouldn't finish.
  16. Having a pending FA like Lester out there could keep teams like the Cubs from trading prospects to get Price. They can just wait until the off season and sign Lester without giving up any of the goods they have.
  17. I would definitely do a package for Price starting with those three. The Brewers could always flip Price this off season or at next years trade deadline for a package similar to what we got for Greinke a few years back. This way we have Price for a World Series run this year and get back something going forward. Imagine a Price, Lohse, Garza, Gallardo and Peralta rotation to finish out the year...
  18. Yadiel Rivera now has his average up to .315 in AA following a 4-4 game today.
  19. Good to see a Jim Henderson sighting tonight in Nashville. He struck out the side in his first inning of work. I was getting a bit worried as he hadn't seen any action since last Saturday. Anyone know why?
  20. It is nice to see Yadiel Rivera adjusting nicely to AA with the bat...
  21. "the season" is a weird name for a family member. Tasteless and disgusting post...
  22. Great stuff! Thank you for sharing.
  23. I am happy we have Gallardo's bat in the lineup tomorrow... Not sure if I should have used blue or not...
