And it would save about 30mil that could be used towards signing Prince and Yo long term!

I agree 100%... Give price the $$$!!! I don't care if we go into a slight rebuild until the young pitching arrives. Trade the rest of the arby players to save the $$$ and give it to Prince! What would you rather have? Prince for just 2 more years or: Prince long term (with Braun) and McGehee at 2B in place of Weeks, Escobar at SS in place of Hardy, Gerut in CF in place of Cameron, Lucroy at C in place of Kendall, Naverson in place of Bush (or Looper)... Heck maybe Adam Heether can learn to play RF in place of Hart and leave Gamel at 3B (or vice versa)...

Thanks Mass for all the work you do! Thanks also to those others who have contributed to the link report throughout the year! I live in Arizona and I can't wait to see and give first hand accounts on how Mark Rogers and others do in the AFL!

For Prince I am sure this was a much better celebration then getting the crap beat out of you at home plate (which is what usually happens after a walk off)!!

Mike Jones was dealing tonight!! 7.2 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 7 K's, 108 Pitches... AAA ERA drops from 13.50 to 5.40... Awesome!

Very nice bounce back game for Mike Jones thus far tonight!
  7. jvrocksaz
I would have liked to have seen Amaury Rivas as well...

Donation made. Thanks for the best fan site around!

So Mark Rogers gets skipped this week?

Who's going to trade a #2 starter for a 1 year rental of a SS coming off of a down year?Hardy will now be under control for 2 more years (not just 1)... It may help his value a bit but not enough to get a #2 starter all by himself...

Hardy, Hart, Gamel & Suppan for Jonathan Sanchez, Aaron Rowand & Madison Bumgarner

B.C. canceled due to rain.... What else is new?
  13. jvrocksaz
Looks like Bowman is starting tonight for B.C.
  14. jvrocksaz
Adam Heether with 3 hits, all doubles... Been doing it all year! I would like to see him spend some time in RF before the year is done!
  15. jvrocksaz
Hardy for Jonathan Sanchez? or Hardy, Hart & Suppan for Sanchez & Rowand
  16. jvrocksaz
Adam Heether with 3 hits tonight... I really hopes he finds his way to the Milwaukee roster come September! He has earned a shot!
  17. jvrocksaz
Josh Butler back on the mound in AZ (Good news)... 7 hits, 3 BB, & 3 ER allowed in 4 innings (Not so good news)...
  18. jvrocksaz
Brett Lawrie involved in alot of action tonight! Nice to see! 3 hits (1 HR, 1 2B, 4 RBI's) a stolen base, and he was involved in 3 turned double plays on defense!
  19. jvrocksaz
Lo Cain with a PH appearance tonight... Good to see him back in the boxscore after leaving with an apparent injury yesterday!
  20. jvrocksaz
Well it looks like there was a reason for his "inspired" play tonight... http://www.jsonline.com/sports/brewers/53256312.html There was a reason St. Louis tried Skip Schumaker at 2B instead of offering Lopez arby... The Dbacks only took him after they lost out on Hudson. Lopez played well tonight and has done reasonably well since joining the Brewers but buyer beware! See reply #1 by Fatter than Joey. There is a reason why he seems to travel alot!

Another thing that the Dback fans were frustrated with was his baserunning. These also appeared to be "mental" lapses... Things like getting picked off, not advancing the extra base when the obvious opportunity presented itself yet getting thrown out trying to advance when it was an obvious bad choice, and giving up to easy on plays at the plate or going in hard to break up a double play at 2nd...

I am one of those on this board that was critical of Lopez when the Brewers traded for him. The Dbacks couldn't rid themselves of him fast enough even though they had no good options for 2B this year or next... Here is a blurb from a local afternoon radio host who works for the Dbacks flagship station 620 KTAR Phoenix: http://www.ktar.com/?sid=1190921&nid=626 The Lopez mention is at the bottom of his blog...

Mike Jones is pitching "VERY" well through 4 innings tonight! Edit: Sorry Mike!

620am (DBacks flagship station) here in Phoenix, is speculating the DBacks may just let him go and save the $3M still owed to Davis this season...
