620am (DBacks flagship station) here in Phoenix, is speculating the DBacks may just let him go and save the $3M still owed to Davis this season...

I am hoping it is the Brewers as well... Let him play RF the rest of this year then move him to CF next year...

How is Rios in CF? I see he has played CF 106 times in his career... Could it be that the Brewers claimed him to be a CF replacement for Cameron next year while replacing Hart this year? Hmmmmmmmmm....

Where is Ben Sheets on that list? Not that I would want him though...
  8. jvrocksaz
I agree... Heck give Mike Jones a chance at this point...

Carl Crawford would be delightful. Evan Longoria wouldn't be too bad, either. I suppose if they're looking for someone to take B.J. Upton off their hands, we could be a suitor. I hear Matt Garza, Scott Kazmir, and James Shields are looking for new homes in the midwest region. Ben Zobrist hasn't done much this year, we might as well have him hop on board. Gabe Gross and Gabe Kapler would look spectacular on our bench. Too bad Carlos Pena couldn't DH for us... Am I forgetting somebody? I would even settle for Jeff Niemann....

In Milwaukee where he belongs? :-)

To be honest I would almost rather see the Brewers finish under .500 and have a draft position on the top half of the round (if we don't make the playoffs). This is just in case (a small one at that) we go after and get a "type A" free agent pitcher... Probably a better chance of DM going after one this off season if he doesn't have to give up a 1st round pick...

Who is this Escobar Gamel player? What position does he play? (juuuuuussssst kidddding!)

I am really glad to see Adam Heether getting a chance in the outfield. I wonder how he would be in CF or RF? If he played 3B he must have a decent arm... Hmmmm... At very least it is nice to have another in house option with Lo Cain's struggles (although injury related) this season.

DHonks I am in Chandler myself.. Let me know if you (or anyone else that lives in AZ) decide to go to any games here when the Brewers play the Dbacks! I would love to meet some fellow Brewerfan.neters! I too had thought about heading to San Diego but unfortunately the kids are already back in school since Chandler has a year round schedule...

Is it crazy of me to be wishing that Mike Jones was in San Diego starting tonight instead of in Jacksonvile?

I like the two-out magic working in the Brewers' favor, for a change. Here's hoping this doesn't devolve into a wacky slugfest. Edit: I won't begrudge our Pacific Time members their rare opportunity to follow Brewers games at a "regular" hour, but otherwise, yeah, I agree with crewcrazy. It'll be hard to stay up for the end of this one. Yes it is actually nice to sit and watch a game "after" dinner!

Thanks for the updates GoMocs! Some of us appreciate the first hand accounts! As Homer said, some people can be REAL touchy about items on this forum every now and again! Please don't let it bother you and PLEASE keep posting whatever updates you get!

Thanks GoMocs! Any idea how hard Mike Jones is throwing these days?
  19. jvrocksaz
GoMocs is new to the board and a Huntsville season ticket holder. He started a thread about a week ago saying hi to everyone. Maybe he can get some infor on how hard Mike Jones is throwing these days?

I had to look at the boxscore... It seemed way to far fetched for me to believe!

Ask, and you shall receive... (props to AJAY, who I believe was the first to post this picture many moons ago) http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/1407/baghead.jpg Nice! I may need that for work tomorrow!

How bad is this team? Well I just offered to go to the store and get some bread for my wife... BRB!
  23. jvrocksaz
