  1. For as bad as this offense has looked much of the year, they do seem to have a flare for the dramatic in the late innings.
  2. Indeed Yes, seeing Burnes have success as a starter is really, really encouraging. The good news is this team has a pretty good collection of arms overall.
  3. That was a very good at bat from Narvaez in a game that does still remain in the balance despite the tough offensive showing thus far.
  4. Kenta Maeda is at 92 pitches. It’s been over a calendar year since Maeda threw more than 90 pitches in a game (Aug. 10, 2019). He threw over 100 pitches just twice last year.
  5. Little did we know at the time that the 1st inning walk from Yelich saved us from the embarrassment of facing a potential perfect game. Now the worst that can happen is merely getting no hit.
  6. This is going to come across a bit whiny, but I would’ve rather faced any of the other AL Central teams 6 times instead of the Twins.
  7. I forgot how much I’ve missed having #HugWatch time of year. J.D. Martinez got pulled in the 5th inning of a game he had earlier hit an RBI double in. It’s most likely an injury, but the trade speculation has also begun. Edit: He was spotted talking to the training staff, so alas the #HugWatch will have to wait another day.
  8. Does a no-hitter count as a no-hitter? No, they specified that 7-inning no-hitters won’t count in terms of the record books.
