  2. Cubs Remaining Games (84-61) @ Nationals (1 Game) Reds (3 Games) @ Diamondbacks (3 Games) OFF DAY @ White Sox (3 Games) Pirates (4 Games) Cardinals (3 Games) Brewers Remaining Games (84-63) OFF DAY Pirates (3 Games) Reds (3 Games) OFF DAY @ Pirates (3 Games) @ Cardinals (3 Games) OFF DAY Tigers (3 Games) A few of the more likely scenarios needed for the Brewers to win the division outright.... If the Cubs finish 11-6, Brewers need to finish 12-3. If Cubs finish 10-7, Brewers need to finish 11-4. If Cubs finish 9-8, Brewers need to finish 10-5. If Cubs finish 8-9, Brewers need to finish 9-6. If Cubs finish 7-10, Brewers need to finish 8-7.
  3. I would absolutely agree with the Cardinals. I would rather the Brewers play in the Division Series versus the Cardinals than the Cubs. In that scenario if the other Division Series was the Rockies-Braves, the Brewers would have about as good of a chance as anybody to emerge as the National League Champions. One other irony in looking at that possible scenario (where the Rockies win the NL West) is one of the best things that could happen to the Brewers in that case is having the Braves go on a hot streak to end the season. If the Brewers won the division, but the Braves finished with a better record then the Brewers would face the Rockies in the Division Series instead of the Cubs-Cardinals winner. Probably too many stars to align for that scenario.
  4. Watching people poor towards the exits at Wrigley in the top of the 9th inning is my new favorite thing.
  5. Hader looks amazing against aggressive swings, but Zobrist with a really great approach against Hader there.
  6. Jesus has to put a bat on one of those pitches. That was disappointing to say the least.
  7. Is that really that smart of a play to let it fall? It doesn’t really seem like it matters.
  8. Co-Signed. At this point in the game his value defensively is definitely worth risking the chance he will have an at bat.
  9. I love having meaningful September baseball, but I am coming to the realization my nerves might not be ready for October yet. This is stressful tonight!

  11. Not sure how many feasible trade options are currently out there, but maybe A.J. Ellis? Have I mentioned how much I would have liked for the Brewers to have acquired Wilson Ramos (and I wish I hadn’t just double checked his stats since joining the Phillies, yes a small sample size).
  12. Was acquired by the Brewers in an 8 player trade that included Craig Counsell... December 1, 2003: Jorge De La Rosa Traded by the Arizona Diamondbacks with Chris Capuano, Craig Counsell, Chad Moeller, Lyle Overbay and Junior Spivey to the Milwaukee Brewers for a player to be named later, Shane Nance and Richie Sexson. The Milwaukee Brewers sent Noochie Varner (minors) (December 15, 2003) to the Arizona Diamondbacks to complete the trade. Prior to that he had also been part of the Red Sox trade for Curt Schilling. That seems like a really long time ago.
  13. Piña on the other hand has a .594 OPS against LHPs this season.
  14. Not a bad idea here, Perez has been solid against lefties this year.
  15. I would be interested in Drew Pomeranz if they thought they had any answers to his sudden fall off a cliff over the past calendar year because he has admitted that he has tried just about everything. The velocity drop appears to be the most significant concern for Pomeranz this season. He is only 29-years old, so it’s not crazy to think he could still bounce back, but also wouldn’t count on it at this point.
