  1. I know I am officially too uptight when I was legitimately worried about Arcia’s flip to Schoop there.
  2. Albers coming into a tie game with the bases loaded versus Brewers killer David Freese. This could be interesting.
  3. Wow, Lo Cain you almost made my heart skip there. Please get out of this TW (Jennings?).
  4. I wish I liked the Brewers chances better in extra innings, but not overly confident in the remaining bullpen options.
  5. Tough to use Hader, Soria, and Jeffress and potentially once again lose a 4 run lead. Jeffress this week: Sunday (32 pitches), Monday (15 pitches), Wednesday (20 pitches), Friday (31 pitches)
  6. I was really hoping for an easy inning. If this goes to extras it doesn’t seem like the Brewers have a lot of great options to pitch.
  7. Man, tough way to give up a base hit. I really don’t want to see Freese burn the Brewers here. Edit: Or Cervelli
  8. In other news, the Cardinals 7-0 lead on the Rockies is now just 7-5 in the 6th inning.

  10. Yes, if they actually did claim Harvey then they would still need to work out a trade agreement before acquiring him. If that were to happen it would be announced today.
  11. Take this for what it’s worth, but the same guy who had the alleged inside source to the Moustakas trade said that the Brewers are the team that claimed Harvey... LINK.
  12. The Phillies just lost an absolute heartbreaker to the Nationals on a two out come from behind effort that ended with a Ryan Zimmerman two-run homer. It is oddly therapeutic to see another team in the Wild Card mix snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

  14. Darvish was the only free agent starting pitcher I wanted the Brewers to pursue last off-season. Turns out that would have been a disastrous move for the Brewers.
  15. I’ve tried to keep things positive, but the recent Padres and Braves losses combined with tonight have really been disappointing. Games they really needed to pull out when in a pennant race. I do think the laughably bad defense has done them a disservice.
  16. A quick update on the playoff odds with 35 Brewers games to go... Fangraphs Playoff Odds: Brewers have 57.0% odds to make playoffs, 10.6% odds to win division, and a 1.3% chance to win the World Series. The only NL teams with higher Fangraphs playoff odds currently are the Cubs (97.1%), Dodgers (74.7%), and Phillies (59.4%). Right behind the Brewers are the Braves (56.5%), D-backs (52.6%), Cardinals (43.4%), and Rockies (42.2%) Baseball Prospectus Playoff Odds: Brewers have 56.5% odds to make playoffs, 13.1% odds to win division, and a 3.3% chance to win the World Series. The NL teams with higher BP playoff odds currently are the Cubs (94.2%), Braves (66.8%), Dodgers (66.6%), D-Backs (62.4%), and Phillies (58.7%). Right behind the Brewers are the Rockies (47.8%) and Cardinals (39.6%). Both systems currently project the Brewers to finish with 88 wins.

  18. The Brewers are to the point in the schedule now where 21 of their final 36 games are at home. I know they won’t win all of the home games or lose all of the away games, but if they did they would finish with 90 wins and likely in the playoffs.
