Good catch, Schoop in his career versus Chris Archer... 10-for-29, with a double and 6 home runs (a .345 average and 1.345 OPS in the small sample). Has also only struck out three times in those 29 at-bats. -

It’s time for the offense to respond.

Earlier today I saw a car completely wrapped in Pizza Pit advertising and consciously tried to remember the last time I have had their pizza which I estimated to be over 15 years ago.

That was an incredible win, game 1 non televised, of a double header. I only remember finding out when I came home from school and saw the highlights on ESPN. I doubt you'll see a bigger 9th inning comeback ever. I remember that one! Weren't there about 500 people at that game since it was a makeup doubleheader? I was at that game as well! It was a last minute decision to attend the doubleheader, went with my college roommate. I remember it being a sparse crowd, but not completely empty. For me it proved to be one of the most memorable games I’ve attended since obviously the comeback was incredible and more selfishly it was the only time I’ve caught a foul ball during a Major League Baseball game.

There comes a point when you are pot committed, to use a poker term! Yeah, I don’t blame people for going to bed. I just don’t have the internal discipline necessary to do so.

I am just going to say kudos to those that stayed up to watch, this is one I won’t soon forget. It wasn’t a lot of fun for the 13 middle innings, but boy were the 1st and bottom of the 15th ever fun.

I want them to score runs here, but losing 6-5 will almost be even worse considering Schoop’s lazy misplay in the outfield.

I feel like I would definitely remember a 5-0 9th inning comeback that went 18 innings. Do you remember what year that was? 2003? 2004? I’ll see if I can find it Wes Helms only walk-off at Miller Park was on May 11, 2004.

What in the world was Schoop doing when he picked up that ball?

Coming into this game Steven Brault had a 4.79 ERA and 1.598 WHIP this season. He is on the verge of completing his 4th inning of hitless ball.

Jesús being able to handle that ball in the 9th inning would have led to a lot of extra sleep tonight. Not looking forward to a 5:30am wake-up call.

I don’t think I have ever witnessed a game where a team took a big first inning lead and went scoreless over the next 12 innings in a row. So frustrating.

The Rockies have the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth down by two...a little early don’t ya think? They didn’t convert, but it was only the 8th inning.
